Five-deck superyacht KISMET (95.2m, 312ft) was designed to be one of the most spectacular luxury yachts in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Featuring accommodations for 16 guests in eight staterooms and a breathtaking interior by Reymond Langton Design, KISMET is among the most coveted luxury mega yachts in the world today.
Launched in July 2014, KISMET, which means destiny or fate, took a win at the 2015 World Superyacht Awards, claiming top spot in the Displacement Motor Yachts of 1,3000GT to 2,999 GT of 75 metres and above category.
According to the yard, the experienced owner pushed Lurssen to test its own boundaries in engineering to build yacht way ahead of its time, while also being an innovative and ultimate entertainment vessel for the owner's family and friends.
There are lounging and eating areas on three different decks including a sundeck with a swimming pool with integrated Jacuzzi and fully equipped barbecue, with a library, disco and theatre. The five levels incorporate massive staterooms, dining and lounge spaces, with at least one bar, dining area, and lounge on each aft deck. The mosaic tiled pool with the inset Jacuzzi and cascading waterfall is the focal point of the upper level foredeck.
KISMET owner, Shahid Khan, owner of NFL franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham Football Club, wanted a very specific, and supremely lavish look for the interiors of KISMET, which were to fulfil the one-word brief "dramatic".
The dark and enveloping interiors boast some of the world's most precious stones and finishes: solid honey onyx, black marble and mahogany timber paneling, with original artwork and sculptures, as well as a four-metre silver jaguar attached to her bow!
Video walls composed of 42 individual 140-centimetre monitors separate the main saloon from the forward section of the main deck, there's a piano bar that is truly a work of art, and a massive art deco staircase between the video walls leads from the main saloon to the upper deck lounge, plus a lift and offset stairs leading to all decks. The chandelier was handcrafted by the artisans of Crystal Caviar from the Czech Republic.
