On the Map
Popular for its proximity to mainland USA, the Caribbean refers to a huge area boasting incredible variety of culture and biodiversity.
The islands of the Caribbean stretch from the Greater Antilles in the north-west to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the Spanish islands; and the Lesser Antilles which are split between the Leeward and Windward islands. The Leeward islands, so-called because they are protected from the trade winds, encompass the north-eastern group of islands from the Virgin islands down to Dominica. The south-easterly group, known as the Windward islands, due to their exposure to the north-east trade winds, stretch from Martinique and the islands further southward to the Grenadines and Grenada.
The Caribbean also offers a vast array of activities easily accessible. Apart from lots of sailing and cruising between islands and exploring coastlines, there's also activities like deep sea angling, diving, kite-surfing for the active, or for those who want to choose a more relaxed lifestyle, simply head to a remote anchorage to soak up the sun, or explore onshore the myriad options on offer in nature anchorages, sandy bays, humble villages or sophisticated town centres.
In hot demand, especially during the peak season from November to April, there is a wide selection of crewed yachts and superyachts for charter to best experience your ideal vacation around the various Island groups. There are yachts to meet every desire and Luxury Charter Group team will match the right yacht for your vacation requirements.
