MY ECLIPSE (162.5m, 533ft) is a luxury mega yacht built by German yard, Blohm + Voss in 2010 with both exterior and interiors designed by the highly awarded Terence Disdale. After five years of intensive design, development and construction, ECLIPSE launched in a blaze of interest, and veil of deep secrecy.
ECLIPSE has been estimated to have cost US$1.5 billion to build. It features two heli pads, 24 guest cabins including an owner's deck of 56m in length, sumptuous interior fitout with a profusion of custom furnishings, two swimming pools – one of which converts to a dance floor – several Jacuzzis, an aquarium, conference facilities, children's playroom, beauty salon and a disco. It is also equipped with three launch boats and a mini-submarine.
For security, ECLIPSE is fitted with a missile detection system, armour plating, bullet-proof glazing and anti-paparazzi shield that uses lasers to over-expose photographs.
Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovich is the owner of this giant mega yacht which is believed to accommodate 36 guests in 18 cabins and also cater for 70 to 90 crew members.
ECLIPSE was voted Motor Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards in 2011.
ECLIPSE is available for select charters in the Caribbean and is the world's largest and most expensive mega yacht on the charter market.
