This award-winning 58.4m performance sloop, built by Alloy Yachts of New Zealand, is unique among the luxury charter yacht fleet and can be yours to experience the Caribbean islands for a week or longer.
Designed by iconic firm, Dubois with interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon, KOKOMO is hailed the most advanced yacht of her type in the world, with a series of 'firsts' that will fascinate and thrill.
At the time of construction, 2010, KOKOMO'S 74.3 metre mast was the largest mast ever made. Her mast was lifted over the top of Luxury Charter Group's office in Auckland on her way from Southern Spars to KOKOMO. She also carries the largest set of sails made by Doyle Sails in New Zealand – the mainsail is 883 square metres in size, the Genoa 1,151 square metres and the asymmetric Gennaker is the largest single sail ever built by Doyle's at 2,227 square metres.
Her lifting keel, at 58.4m length overall, weighs 130 tonnes and can be raised and lowered through 3.3m, allowing her access to all the major harbours and marinas around the world but also giving her a unique performance that will impress and elate her guests.
KOKOMO can sleep up to a maximum of 10 guests in her luxurious five stateroom layout: full-beam master stateroom, VIP stateroom and three guest cabins.
Her designers describe KOKOMO'S interiors as "contemporary without being hard-edged". Rather, with the use of various dark and light timbers, stitched leather lounges, jewel colours in accessories, taupe carpet, and original artwork, they have achieved a timeless elegance and cosy warmth.
There are several lounge areas and a dedicated movie room, as well as bar and dining room.
On deck, guests will be spoilt for choice with ample space for enjoying the pristine tropical islands of the Caribbean while underway or at anchor.
Her vast teak foredeck stretches all the way aft to the mast and is clutter-free as all tenders, toys and launching cranes are stored under decks. The on-deck Jacuzzi is inset into the foredeck and can be covered when not in use.
The expansive alfresco dining space in the cockpit boasts casual seating and a dining setting, undercover and climate controlled as required.
For water-based fun, KOKOMO is equipped with two custom 6.1m Hamilton Jet tenders, a wakeboard, water skis, biscuits, donuts, kayaks, standup paddle boards with wind surfing sails, sailing dinghies, dive gear, snorkelling gear and fishing equipment.
