Sardinia - a taste of Italy and emerald green waters. In the middle of the Mediterranean Sea there is the paradise island of Sardinia lying just 12 miles south of Corsica. Here your charter itinerary features brilliantly clear waters, dazzling white beaches, pink granite coastline, sheltered coves and anchorage.

Sardinia ~ take a sailing journey along its coastline, sail and swim in its emerald green sea and learn about its 4000-year history, its customs and traditions.  Taste its mouth-watering cuisine and excellent wines.

Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean, just a little smaller than Sicily and three times the size of Corsica. It attracts boating enthusiasts and jet-setters alike from May through to September. There is 1.100 miles of coastline, offering craggy cliffs, rocky inlets, fine white sand beaches, charming Mediterranean villages and ancient cities brimming with history.

It also home of the Costa Smeralda, the exclusive summer holiday resort founded by the Aga Khan.  Porto Cervo is particularly famous as a meeting point for sailors coming from all over the world. This Italian seaside village retreat in the north is also the sublime setting for one of the best Mediterranean summer party places. As well as people, such as Silvio Berlusconi, having holiday villas here it is also jam-packed with superyachts and gin palaces. Helicopters are a regular choice of transportation. It has grown enormously since Aga Khan developed this resort for the rich in the 60s. The island itself is savage, wild and rugged however Porto Cervo rocks a glamour and laid-back style that is quintessentially Italian and adored by the chic celebs and fashionable jet-setters. Here you will rub shoulders with the super-rich, Arabian princesses, A-lister movie stars and Russian oligarchs, in the high-class hotels, clubs, restaurants, bars and luxury shops that abound.

There is also the many islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena - one of Italy’s best-kept secrets. Unspoilt and charming, they provide excellent sailing and cruising. With over sixty islands, islets and rocks there are many different sand beaches edged by beautiful, clear shining seas of blue and turquiose. The scenery here is striking with unusually-shapped granite outcrops, weathered by wind and sea dotted with with fragrant scrubs and pine trees twisted and bent bythe wind.
