WEATHER: The most popular time for yacht charter in Montenegro is in the summer months between May and September, when gentle prevailing northerly winds provide easy-going cruising. Warm and dry summers and mild winters characterise this coast. Average temperatures during the yacht charter season range between about 22-29C. Winds are usually light over the whole Adriatic, averaging force 2 or 3 and rarely reaching high forces.

AIRPORTS: The main international airports in Montenegro are Tivat (TIV) and Podgorica (TGD). However many charterers fly in and out of Dubrovnik (DUB) and have their itineraries to and from there.

MAIN PORTS AND MARINAS: There are several world class marinas capable of handling yachts of all sizes, including Porto Montenegro Marina, Dukley Marina and Portonavi Marina. There are also 2 major seaports in Montenegro: Port of Bar, and Port of Kotor, as well as many secluded bays and coves to discover on a yachting vacation.
CULTURAL: Montenegro’s culture is every bit as fascinating, diverse and unique as the state itself. The people of Montenegro are very friendly and always appreciate a friendly response. Because it is a touristic region, most locals speak English and some Italian and German, but it is appreciated to speak a few words of their language which is very similar to Croatian (e.g. dobro dan=good day/hello, molim=please, hvala=thank you, ).
