From topsail to keel, LAMIMA was custom built with the specific intent of providing the ultimate in comfort, elegance and privacy of a modern superyacht for up to 14 charter guests, while maintaining the ambience, allure and authenticity of the Indonesian two-masted trading ship of yesteryear, known as ‘phinisi’.

The world’s largest wooden sailing yacht, LAMIMA was designed in 2012 by esteemed yacht designer Marcelo Penna of Barcelona who, while retaining the elegance of the traditional vessels on which LAMIMA’S lines are based, has expertly managed to incorporate refinements to enhance the comfort and safety onboard.

LAMIMA is the only world-class charter yacht registered under the Indonesian flag (required for charters in Indonesian waters), underscoring her unique position as the perfect pick for your luxury charter vacation in the idyllic sapphire waters of the fascinating archipelago she calls home.

Her deck spaces are impressive, and guests will the several areas dedicated to leisure and socialising, from the massive undercover dining space on the aft deck, to the foredeck with sunpads and lounges, and tranquil area devoted to massage and spa treatments by your own onboard therapist.

After a full day exploring the islands and coastal villages, guests will enjoy the ultimate in social soirees as the large cinema screen turns the deck into a brilliant movie night under the stars.

INTERIORS

This illustrious ketch is a majestic sight on water, and equally breathtaking within. Her interiors are a soothing blend of traditional timberwork, indigenous art and 5-star luxury.

The saloon is an inviting ‘great room’, comprising several spaces for socialising and formal dining, complete with bar, long dining table, lounge and doors that open onto the deck for indoor-outdoor entertaining.

Beautifully hewn wooden pillars and subdued lighting add to the atmosphere.

For entertainment, there is a TV in each cabin and the main saloon with individual media players with access to 200 movies, and internet via satellite to stay as connected as you wish.

ACCOMMODATION

Aboard LAMIMA, guests will retreat to the tranquillity and privacy of the seven spacious staterooms: one king on the main deck, and below decks, four queen and four single cabins, each with its own ensuite. Large windows take full advantage of the passing landscapes and azure sea, while there is plenty of storage space and head room.

Décor is refined and elegant, with crisp white linens, orchids and artisan timber panelling. Air-conditioning throughout means absolute comfort.

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

LAMIMA comes equipped with an array of watertoys to enjoy this island paradise to the full. Onboard are three RIBS for day trips to shore and towing skiers, two Yamaha Jet Skis (where allowed), six SUPS, two Jukungs (traditional Indonesian canoes) and two kayaks,
Padi diving-centre and diving and snorkelling gear for 14 guests, wakeboard, waterskis, various inflatables and six surfboards.

For fitness and well-being onboard, there is a selection of gym equipment, such as Altrom sport fitness bicycle, yoga mats, TRX and free weights.

The attentive LAMIMA crew of 20 include a dedicated guide, two experienced Indonesian Chefs whose culinary repertoire is legendary, two spa therapists to pamper you after a day of adventure and two dive masters who are able to perform PADI certification and share their knowledge of the best dive locations in each region.

Myanmar, considered the last frontier of luxury adventure, boasts the Mergui Archipelago National Park which has been closed to tourism for over 50 years and today offers spectacular untouched scenery among 800 islands. 

Indonesia’s eastern islands, known collectively as Nusa Tenggara, stretch from the western island of Lombok to Timor in the east. Here the region is markedly different from the rest of the country. The climate is drier and more evocative of Australia than of tropical Bali.

Raja Ampat is situated in the far east of Indonesia and can be accessed from Port Sorong in the north-west of Papua. The meaning of Raja Ampat is Four Kings as it is made up of four main islands but in its entirety is home to over 600.

The area is well conserved by the setup of many marine protection areas with aims of sustainable tourism to empower the local people. Scientists have announced that this area of the coral triangle has the most diverse marine life on the planet due to adjoining currents from the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Scuba diving and snorkelling are among the main attractions, suited to beginners and those with experience.
