The winners of the 2021 World Superyacht Awards were announced on Sunday 5 September at the Monte Carlo Sporting, celebrating the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the most innovative and covetable superyachts from all over the world.
Each year, the judging panel is formed from superyacht owners, lending this globally acclaimed event credibility and objectivity. Among this year’s winners to take home the coveted Neptune statues were the latest additions to the charter yacht fleet, including BROADWATER, ISTROS, AURELIA, REBECA, BLUE II and LA DATCHA.
Here are the details of the luxury charter yachts that were among the winners of these coveted prizes in 2021.
DISPLACEMENT MOTOR YACHTS 499GT AND BELOW - 30 TO 39.9M
AURELIA

With her head-turning, colourful hull, 122ft (37.3m) AURELIA is a superb Dutch-built Heesen superyacht, designed by the renowned Bannenberg & Rowell. She offers accommodation for up to eight charter guests in a large full beam master suite on the main deck with large ensuite and walk-in robe, plus two double and one twin guest cabin. AURELIA’S exterior spaces include a vast sun deck, partially shaded aft deck and a sumptuous sunbathing area on the bow. The beach club adjoins the tender garage for ease access to the water and a sensational spot for sunbathing.
Judges were impressed by her powerful exterior lines by Sergio Cutolo, efficient hull design from naval architects HydroTec, and her ability to squeeze a 5,000-nautical-mile range from her 60,000-litre tanks at 10 knots. The judges also admired the interior layout and sophisticated loft-style design by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini.

REBECA
Bursting with luxurious design innovations, REBECA is a the first of a new generation of 40m Oasis superyachts from Benetti, a 41m (134ft) vessel over three spacious decks, with accommodation for up to 11 charter guests in five palatial staterooms. Designed for a younger, more active clientele, the interiors of this impressive Oasis 40m is laid-back, open plan and minimal, with the ambience of a luxurious beach house.
REBECCA wowed judges with her innovative exterior design by RWD, which drew compliments for its stylish appearance and spacious, fully-featured decks. They also admired the beach club at the yacht’s stern, where fold-down bulwarks and a submersible bathing platform/passerelle greatly increase its size and connection with the sea, while they considered the large six-square-metre, glass-backed infinity pool to be a rare feature for a yacht of this size.

BLUE II

The 184ft (56m) BLUE II from Turquoise Yachts was designed to evoke the carefree heyday of leisurely yachting, combining the elegance and classic lines of yesteryear with all the contemporary luxuries for up to 12 charter guests in six well-appointed suites, including two master staterooms. As well as a spa area with sauna, steam room and exercise equipment, BLUE II features a hydraulic swim platform, the latest watertoys and expansive upper deck ideal for relaxed family charters. With impeccably designed interiors, in a modern Hamptons style, BLUE II offers guests several lounge and dining spaces both on deck and over her two levels.
The judges were drawn by her elegant profile with bluff bow and canoe stern, which both emphasise her seaworthiness, topped by a modest yet practical superstructure. They also praised her timber-panelled interior, designed and decorated by Hoek and John Vickers Studio, complemented her exterior styling and exactly met the needs of an expedition yacht.

REFITTED YACHTS
BROADWATER

A popular luxury charter yacht, the eye-catching BROADWATER is a 181fr (55.5m) Feadship motor yacht that has been completely rebuilt by Royal Huisman.
