2016 Monaco Yacht Show preview

Luxury Charter Group Team will be visiting Monaco for the world's only dedicated superyacht show, this year with expanded on-water and on-land exhibitor space, with yachts for sale and an impressive array of charter yachts on display on the marina and at anchor around the glittering Port Hercule.

The invitation-only Monaco Yacht Show runs from 28 September to 1 October 2016, with 125 superyachts new this year, as well as a showcase of the latest trends in naval architecture, technological gadgets and nautical leisure accessories.

Luxury Charter Group Team will be inspecting the new yachts, many of them going into global charter, meeting crews and managers and experiencing the many and varied virtues of each vessel so we can bring our clients the most current insight and information.

Monaco is one of the 10 or so industry events we attend each year, from Cannes and Greece, to Fort Lauderdale and Antigua, and it is certainly the most significant on the European calendar. There are so many highlights of the upcoming show. We have selected just a few of the standout yachts and supertenders that will be at the 2016 MYS.

11.11

A brilliant charter vessel and World Superyacht Award winner, 62m Benetti, 11.11 embodies innovative design and expert craftsmanship. Custom Art Deco-inspired interiors create the ultimate in luxurious on-the-water living, including a vast private owner's deck with master suite overlooking a private sundeck with jet pool and sunbathing area that stretches all the way to the bow. 11.11 offers flexible guest accommodation on the lower deck with four spacious suites. She boasts outstanding deck space including informal skylounge with custom cocktail, a backlit 14-seat dining table and outdoor bar crafted from natural Italian fluted stone. With curated artwork and photography, LED underwater lights and excellent selection of tenders and toys, 11.11 is an extraordinary and thoroughly original charter yacht.

SEALYON

This multi-award winning yacht built by Viareggio Superyachts; with Espen Oeino naval architecture and exceptional interiors by Candy & Candy, fuses glamour, luxury and intricate detailing. The magnificent Master suite on the main deck provides panoramic views, walk-in dressing area and large Grigio Carnico marble bathroom with a vast Spa bath and shower. A beautiful glass guest lift with modesty misting runs from the lower deck with its four guest cabins to the bridge deck with its fully equipped rosewood office. SEALYON'S spacious media room is the ideal retreat for relaxation, while the split-level sundeck features a rotating sun bed with mist options, individual sun lounges, and a bespoke dining table, plus an oversized 12-person Jacuzzi complete with Chroma therapy lighting, and bar. For well-being, SEALYON has a well-equipped gym on the main deck, with large windows for uninterrupted sea views, plus all the toys and tenders the discerning charter guest could wish for.

OURANOS

This stunning new 50m (163.71ft) motoryacht from Admiral is considered one of the most silent yachts in her class, in terms of noise and vibration levels. OURANOS has a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure with a gross tonnage of 499 GT. Her luxury interiors were designed by Architect Gian Marco Campanino, together with the Admiral Centro Stile. OURANOS has lavish accommodation for 12 charter guests in six staterooms, including a master suite, three double cabins and two twin cabins and up to 12 crew for a personalised charter experience.

FLEUR

Launched in 2016, FLEUR is a Sunseeker 116 Luxury Yacht that takes sophistication to the next level with a spectacular deck layout, striking superstructure and an open-plan living experience with an exquisitely detailed modern interior. Outside, the step down foredeck makes for a private place to relax in the sun and enjoy the 180-degree panoramic views ahead from the large foredeck Jacuzzi, whilst the flybridge lends itself to a large social event or just a tranquil space to relax with family and friends. Boasting a huge retractable sunroof, wet bar, another Jacuzzi and an exceptionally generous seating and dining area – the flybridge is sure to be at the heart of the action during your time onboard.

KOHUBA

The brand new 99.90ft (30.45m) tri-deck Princess 30M motor yacht KOHUBA was built in 2016. Interiors are designed by Princess and her exterior styling is by Bernard Olesinski & the Princess in-house team. KOHUBA sleeps up to 10 charter guests in five magnificent suites, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 1 double cabin and 2 double/twin cabins. The saloon has an overhead skylight to let in the sunshine, while the interiors are warm and welcoming. KOHUBA features a hydraulic bathing platform ideal for relaxing on sea level or for launching the tender or water toys.

OKTO

The 66m (216ft) OKTO is one of a kind, with fantastic deck spaces, a 6m infinity swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and helipad. Her distinctive stealth-looking hull gives OKTO an elegant full presence in the water. With accommodation for 11 charter guests and a crew of 17, OKTO is a cocoon of comfort! The generous owner's suite has a private lobby, his and hers bathrooms, a walk in dressing area and its own balcony. Inside, her exquisite furnishings and spectacular lighting create a glamorous ambiance. Housing a cinema saloon, spa and gymnasium, OKTO has it all!
For the ladies, your high heels are most welcome onboard OKTO, as her decks are made from high-tech Flexiteek and will not mark. How glamorous!

TURQUOISE

Designed by Dubois Naval Architects and launched in 2011 by Proteksan for the owner of the yard, TURQUOISE was a finalist at the 2012 World Superyacht Awards. She enjoyed an extensive refit in 2014 which added to her luxurious, contemporary interior conceived by the award-winning team at H2 Yacht Design. The level of attention to detail and the resulting ultra-bespoke finish of this refit, including a recent metallic silver hull, make her a popular charter vessel.

BLUSH

Sunseeker's flagship, the magnificent tri-deck 155ft (47.25m) motor yacht, BLUSH is the largest and most advanced yacht to have ever come from the Sunseeker shipyard. Charter guests appreciate her unparalleled luxury, chic interiors and lavish accommodation for up to 10 charter guests in a full beam master suite with private balcony, two double staterooms on the main deck and two twin staterooms on the lower deck. With an unparalleled skylounge and upper sundeck offering fantastic views, she offers guests plenty of alfresco space and all the watertoys and amenities imaginable. BLUSH boasts an experienced crew of 10 and is available in the West Mediterranean, including the Balearic Islands.

ICON

Since her launch in 2010, ICON has proven to be an exceptional superyacht. After an extensive refit, she now measures 67.5m, with the addition of a Beach Club that transforms easily to a party space, and an infinity swimming pool with glass floor. The gym now allows the guests to exercise with style enjoying the on board new Hamam and a six person sauna. ICON accommodates 12 guests in seven cabins, including an unusually generous master suite over two levels with private access to the observation lounge/office. ICON was purpose-designed for extensive world cruising and available for charter in the Mediterranean and in the Caribbean winter season.

KISSES

53.3m KISSES was custom built by the De Vries yard at Feadship. The simple, elegant and minimalist interior was inspired by the great Art Deco designer and ironsmith Edgar Brandt. She offers exquisite levels of detail with use of materials including precious woods, such as Karelian burl and carbon ebony, New Tijuca and Juperana granite floors, woven natural leather and fabric on both the ceiling and wall treatments. The most recent refit was in 2014 which included a full paint job and in 2015 she completed her Lloyds 15 year survey. KISSES can accommodate 11 guests in five cabins.

GENESI

The 147.97ft WIDER motor yacht GENISI was delivered to her owner in 2016. The WIDER 150' has a propulsion system that draws inspiration from the military and commercial vessels that run using diesel electric power. Her main features include more than 350m² of external areas, including a spectacular Beach Club: measuring 90m², which is a magnificent onboard oasis, a 7m seawater swimming pool, which opens to reveal a spacious garage at the stern ideal for carrying the WIDER 32, and a large sun deck fitted with a full bar, barbecue and Jacuzzi. In front of the wheelhouse is a concealed foredeck lounge, hidden beneath a watertight hatch on the coach roof. The hatch rises to reveal a spacious entertaining area, complete with sofas and flat-screen TV.

SANLORENZO 460EXP

The Sanlorenzo 460Exp is a wonderful example of a long-range explorer vessel which offers safe access to rarely visited regions of the world and a host of tenders and toys for exploring them. At 42.2m, the Sanlorenzo explorer yacht provides the stability, safety and range with just 460GT gross tonnage that can unshackle owners from normal yachting restrictions and allow them to explore remote and un-spoilt cruising destinations with a more fuel efficient yacht.

MERCEDES ARROW460-GRANTURISMO

The 14.17m Arrow460-Granturismo has been created in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Style, introducing to the marine world car-inspired design language, materials and technology for what is a completely fresh interpretation of the luxury motor yacht. Arrow460-Granturismo is a 14.17m long motor yacht that is unmistakably part of the Mercedes-Benz family, both outside and inside where new-luxury design and materials provide unique aesthetic appeal. The yacht ditches the conventional compartmentalised layout and uses space and light to spectacular new effect.

ANVERA 55S

The 16.8m Anvera 55S is hailed as the world's first Crossover Boat, boasting a composite hull and deck that use lightweight but strong carbon fibre and a super-tough collar. The deck is open with a social area at its centre. The stern side wings fold out and downward to create a 200-square-foot open space at the rear of the cockpit. The bimini overhead provides shade, while at the bow there are extra sunbeds and yet more open-deck space. Anvera's owners have a Class 1 Offshore racing pedigree, imbuing in the 55S exceptionally seaworthy and fuel efficient features and the capacity to travel at 40 knots. Inside, two-staterooms mean guests are free to continue the fun all weekend.
