Dazzlingly beautiful the Maldives consist of 26 coral atoll islands and more than 1,190 islands spread out over 90,000 square kilometres. Only 200 or so of these islands are inhabited so privacy and seclusion are easily found. And at this stage with the Maldives open to tourism and some stunning luxury charter yachts headed that way now is the perfect time to explore this tropical paradise. *
The Ministry of Tourism for the Maldives has recently updated their safety guidelines for tourists. Travelers arriving to Maldives are required to provide a negative corona-virus test result that is no older than 72 hours on arrival, and there is no entry Visa fee payable. The only travel restriction in place is that you cannot combine your holiday with time at a resort. You must spend the entire duration of your stay in the Maldives onboard your pre-booked luxury charter yacht. Several airlines have already re-scheduled regular flights to the Maldives, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Edelweiss Air and Aeroflot.*
A private yacht charter is the ultimate way to explore the Maldives; you have the opportunity to explore so many different islands and atolls while remaining onboard your own private floating resort away from crowds. Yacht charters are a stress-free, low-risk vacation, bringing small groups of family or friends together - without having to come into contact with strangers or use public facilities, as would occur staying ashore.
With influences from Asia, Africa and Arabia as well as British and Portuguese and possibly the world’s richest natural aquariums these islands provide an unrivalled luxury yacht charter destination.
The many islands and atolls are strung out like jewels in a sparkling topaz sea, each with its own shallow, crystal clear lagoon surrounded by undisturbed coral reefs teeming with marine life and stunning colourful underwater gardens. The waters are diligently protected and are home to some awe-inspiring species including manta rays, turtles, giant frogfish, hammerheads and the rare whale sharks.
You will find some of the most outstanding dive sites in the world here. One special spot is the renowned Wreck of the Maldive Victory, a ship that sunk in 1981 which remains largely intact and home to a wealth of tropical fish, coral and sponges. While at Fish Head you will have the chance to swim with the graceful grey sharks meandering between the black coral.
Big game fishing in these aquamarine waters is an incredible experience. The coral atolls of the Maldives offer one of the largest and most varied homes to marine life in the world, providing the perfect opportunity to catch something massive and trophy-worthy using fishing methods unique to the skilled Maldives fishermen.
The natural beauty here is breathtaking. Talcum powder sandy beaches provide those postcard-perfect romantic settings most people only get the chance to dream about as you hop from one blissful island to the next. Nestled in amongst this isolated paradise are resorts offering the latest in modern luxury each competing for the title of the best, the latest, the most sublime.
The Maldives are as close as you can get to fantasy treasure islands and the very best way to get the most out this tropical paradise experience is by luxury charter yacht. And fortunately, there are a number of luxury yachts intending to go there in the next few months. Please scroll down for information about four of these and contact us for details of their availability.
