Lagoon launched its much-anticipated new flagship model the Lagoon Seventy7 the luxury sailing catamaran at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Affectionately nicknamed “Gentle Giant” for her size and gentle sleek lines, this 77ft (23.28m), 11m wide, and 40m high multihull is the largest sailing cat ever built by Lagoon.
Lagoon's newest and largest boat with the soul of a superyacht boasts beautiful interiors created by Massimo Gino of Nauta Design, who worked with Marc Van Peteghem and Patrick Le Quément to create a harmonious vessel abounding in "art de vivre".
Ideally configured for a luxury charter vessel, the Seventy7 features free-flowing spaces from aft deck through to the saloon, multiple social and relaxation areas, sculptural lines and luxurious details.
The main distinguishing feature of the luxurious Seventy7 is the owners' suite, independent of the rest of the vessel.
Located in the forward hull area, this exquisite private area enjoys living space on two levels – one on the main deck and the other in the hull. Unique for a sailing vessel is the optional sophisticated hydraulic-operated external platform which creates a unique private 'beach' with direct access to the sea.
A massive stern platform serving as a sunbathing area, a tender dock, or even a recreation area, controlled by a sophisticated onboard operations monitoring system.
The forward deck has plenty of room for relaxing including two lounge areas and a large trampoline, while the sumptuous saloon has lounge and dining spaces with unimpeded wraparound views. The flybridge provides another vantage point for taking in the views, dining and reclining during sojourns at sea.
Below decks, the accommodation is just as airy and spacious, with three impressive ensuited cabins, and fully-equipped Chef’s galley.
