The north of the island still retains the distinctly bohemian character for which Ibiza was first famous while the south is replete with legendary discos, bars and restaurants. Ibiza is wholly unique offering a variety of experiences. There's something for everyone when you explore these beautiful islands on board your luxury megayacht. 

Ibiza Town

Ibiza town, or Eivissa as it is known here, is world famous for its all-night raving nightclubs and a visit to one of the iconic clubs such as Pasha or Amnesia is a real experience worth doing at least once when here onboard your luxury charter yacht. 

However there is much more to Ibiza than just this all-night revelry. A visit to the "hippie" market, a throwback to the Bohemian hey-days of the 60s, is all part of exploring the cobbled streets with small-scale boutiques selling local designers clothes and jewellery in the old town. 

There are some great art galleries and history museums as well as the ancient ramparts of Ibiza City's UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila to explore, a fantastic introduction to the island's rich heritage. And even if partying into the early morning is not on your wish-list there is still plenty of action in the many and varied bars and restaurants. 

Cala Xarraca

In an island with a lot of lovely beaches the beautiful bay of Cala Xarraca is something of a secret with very little development, crystal clear seas surrounded by lush green woodlands along with some startling barren red cliffs and dotted with white houses. Also in the vicinity are hot mud baths that are said to have healing properties.

And while on your luxury charter yacht if you wish to go ashore for dinner there is one little local restaurant serving up simple but super fresh seafood along with traditional dishes such as paella. It is paradise for both snorkelers and photographers alike and a welcome quiet interlude from the bustling beaches in the south.

Cala Jondal

A laid-back but very fashionable beach on the southern coast of Ibiza this is the place where the "beautiful" people hang out. But this is not a pretentious place. Rather it is fun and friendly and very welcoming. A long white beach where a fabulous selection of up-market beach clubs serve up cool cocktails and classy but casual cuisine hidden in the shade of the pine trees. Your crew will be happy to bring you ashore in your luxury yacht's tender. 

Over the weekend there's often live music in one or more of the clubs as well buskers on the beach; one club offers a massage area, another a boutique selling beachwear and it is home to the most famous VIP beach bar on the island the Blue Marlin Ibiza.

Cala d'Hort

This lesser-known but beautiful bay for your luxury yacht to anchor in has stunning views to the impressive, mystical island of Es Vedra island. Look out for the witches and wild goats here! White cliffs are topped with tumbling terracotta toned rocks and verdant green vegetation providing masses of natural charm. The golden beach is also well served with bars and restaurants. 

Espalmador

Espalmador is an idyllic bay of fine white sand on a tiny uninhabited island surrounded by fantastically clear sparkling waters and a favourite of the Luxury Charter Group team. It is separated from Formentera by a shallow sandbar that dries at low tide although we do not recommend wading between the two islands. There's also a salt plain with mud flats in the centre of this little island which is home to a large variety of different birds and worth exploring if you have any sort of ornithology leanings. Espalmador is an unspoilt paradise.

Formentera

Tiny Formentera has even better beaches than its neighbours and what it may lack in cultural interest, it more than makes up for in rustic charm. Formentera is 10 miles long and 8 miles wide and considered the last wilderness in the Mediterranean. Known for its white sand beaches and crystal clear water, it is no wonder the island has been inhabited by the likes of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell over the years.
