Luxury Catamarans Charm Our Charter Guests in the Greek Islands

Dotting the idyllic Mediterranean, the Greek Islands are the perfect destination for a luxury yacht charter. Wide-beamed and wonderful, catamarans are a fantastic choice to explore this breathtaking region. There is still limited availability on a few select catamarans this summer. But don't delay ... talk to us today to have the vacation of a lifetime!

Greece has been rhapsodized by poets, artists, academics and mystics over the millennia. There are almost 6,000 islands, each with its own character and features – cuisine, customs, historic ruins and a vibrant, alluring contemporary culture that enchants and entices. The perfect way to explore these islands, many of which are only accessible by sea, is onboard a luxury charter catamaran allowing you to sample this fantastic diversity.

Here are some of our, and our charter guests, favourite islands to visit:

Mykonos, Greece's most glamorous and popular island, is a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. Despite its popularity, there is a simple, traditional side to life here and there is ample diversity to experience. Whether you are looking for night life, celebrity spotting and entertainment, or wishing to explore the island's history and traditions, Mykonos surpasses expectations.

Great poets have sung its praises for centuries. There are not many places in the world where you can enjoy exquisitely clear waters while perched on the rim of a massive active volcano in the middle of the sea! Its iconic whitewashed cubiform houses clinging to the multicoloured cliffs and blue domed churches mirroring the blueness of the sea are synonymous with Greece itself. It is easy to see why Santorini features on so many travellers' bucket list!

Ithaca offers an enchanting, laidback charm. With very little tourist development and a slower pace of life the island boasts ancient ruins, tiny harbours, lush greenery and a rugged coast fringed in turquoise waters. There are some great hiking trails as well as stunning and secluded coves that make perfect anchorages. Ithaca is, of course, the mythical home of Homer's Odysseus which certainly adds to the romance of this somewhat sleepy but very special island.

Hydra, built in the shape of an amphitheatre on a slope overlooking the sea, is one of the most romantic destinations in Greece. Traditional stone mansions, narrow cobble-stoned streets, secluded squares and an absence of cars, replaced by more than 500 donkeys, are why Hydra has managed to preserve its distinctive atmosphere.

While approaching the port of Symi, one has the overwhelming feeling of entering a perfectly painted image of a scenic traditional village. The colourful houses climb up into the slopes of the surrounding hills. It is a town of cobbled courtyards, pebbled mosaics and trailing bougainvillea flowers. The beauty of Symi is unique and the rich mythological history captivating.

Poros is known for its lush pine trees, crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, a lively waterfront adorned with shops, cosy cafes and restaurants, a picturesque capital with grand traditional mansions and picturesque cobbled streets. It's also home to a wide selection of entertainment venues, making Poros a cosmopolitan, interesting island that suits charter yacht guests of all ages and inclinations.

Both power and sailing catamarans are perfectly suited to a Greek Island charter - where sea breezes, sunshine and the attributes of “space, grace and pace” mean the most sublime vacation experience for charter guests. They have major advantages over similar-sized monohulls as they have a wide beam (width) which creates a massive central platform for dining and entertaining, versatile social areas at the bow and transom, and two hulls for abundant and private cabin space.

They also boast a shallower draft so they can explore remote inlets and moor close to the beach, meaning you can head where other charter vessels dare not!
