Luxury Charter Group inspect the Luxury Charter Yachts at FLIBS

Fort Lauderdale, considered the “Yachting Capital of the World”, will host the 59th annual FLIBS, with an enticing array of luxury lifestyle products such as exotic cars, fashion and timepieces to complement the exceptional craft on show over 7 venues and 6 miles of floating docks, involving 1,500 boats and 1,200 exhibitors from 52 countries. More than 110,000 visitors are anticipated to attend this year’s event, lured by the exceptional vessels on show, many of them premiering at FLIBS.

As in previous years, FLIBS is a significant charter show on the international circuit for Luxury Charter Group and we will be attending, eager to inspect this year’s fleet of charter yachts available in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and some further afield in emerging cruising grounds such as the Asia-Pacific region.

Here are our top picks of the charter yachts at this year’s FLIBS:

ELYSIAN

With her gleaming midnight-blue hull and tall, sleek superstructure, award-winning ELYSIAN is a head-turning 187ft (60m) Abeking & Rasmussen luxury charter yacht available for charter in the Caribbean, with accommodation for up to 12 guests in six opulent staterooms.

ELYSIAN has large entertaining spaces over her three decks and the sundeck is particularly enticing with its jacuzzi and sunpads, room for daily fitness with the gym equipment onboard, or a cocktail at the bar. The main aft deck has comfortable seating and tables for socialising, while the formal dining space in the saloon is ideal for special occasions, celebrations or simply delighting in the wizardry of your onboard Chef.

The modern and highly unique décor of ELYSIAN, designed by the acclaimed duo Bannenberg & Rowell, has plenty to fascinate and intrigue guests, with a masterful and tasteful blend of textures, colours and finishes.

Part of ELYSIAN’S charter appeal is its extraordinary versatility in the cabin layout. The extremely stylish full-beam master suite covers a huge 90 square metres on the main deck, with four additional staterooms found on the lower deck. These cabins are traditionally arranged as two queen and two twin cabins, but the four cabins can easily be transformed into two palatial full-beam VIP suites with varying berth arrangements to suit different charter group configurations. In addition, there is a cabin on the bridge deck with two Pullman bunks, which could be used for children, personal staff, or as a study with a spectacular view high above the water.

PARTY GIRL

This superlative 205ft (62.5m) custom-designed and built superyacht offers exactly what her name implies – complete indulgence and the leisure lifestyle over her four levels and the ideal choice for your next charter vacation in the Caribbean, or the Mediterranean.

With eight cabins for 12 guests, PARTY GIRL is an excellent family-friendly charter yacht, served by 14 crew committed to delivering a memorable charter experience.

From her massive Beach Club with gym and to her uppermost sundeck, with its jacuzzi and sunpads, PARTY GIRL will thrill and delight everyone. She boasts opulent Art Deco-inspired interior by the awarded-designer, Christiano Gatto, two master suites convertable into a massive penthouse, formal as well as informal entertaining areas, a massive main saloon and an indoor-outdoor veranda on the main deck.

JEDI

This 123ft (37.5m) Admiral luxury charter yacht is a striking light bronze and pearl white, with chic Italian styling and five stateroom accommodation for up to 11 guests in complete comfort.

With interiors described as “modern villa” in style, JEDI features floor to ceiling glass windows for unrivalled views, Carrara marble throughout the yacht and spacious deck areas that add to her beach club atmosphere.

The large transom section folds out to create a cabana/swim area with bar and sauna, and there is a side hull door for gym and tender stowage.

W

At 130ft (39.62m), W is a spacious and luxurious, tri-deck Westport motor yacht, which welcomes 10 guests aboard with accommodation in five lavish staterooms, offering the ultimate charter experience.

Like all Westport superyachts, W was designed for both relaxation and entertaining, with free-flowing deck and interior spaces, characterised by sapele and mahogany wood, leather and opulent fabrics used throughout.

SAFIRA

At 129ft (39.32m), with five large cabins for up to 10 guests, a range of social spaces for entertaining and relaxing over three decks, and an amazing array of watertoys, SAFIRA is a superb choice for your Caribbean charter. Refined and elegant inside, with classic timberwork and chic décor, SAFIRA has a spacious saloon, with separate lounge and formal dining section, as well as large aft deck, plus a sundeck with jacuzzi, sunpads and table with seating.

SAFIRA also boasts a gym with an assortment of equipment and all the tenders and toys a large group or family could wish for to make their Caribbean charter a memorable experience.

GREY MATTERS

An impressive 150ft (45.72m) PALMER JOHNSON superyacht, GREY MATTERS boasts cutting edge styling, distinctive sleek profile and thrilling performance, with accommodation for up to 10 charter guests in five staterooms, each with ensuite.  Her expansive sun deck and open sun deck lounge incorporates jacuzzi and bar, high-tech AV system, barbecue and covered dining space. Inside, the interior décor is elegant and inviting, with ebony and leather panelling, exquisite granite and marble with backlit onyx throughout the cabins and living areas.

MUCHOS MAS

New to charter in 2017, 144ft (44m) MUCHOS MAS has lavish accommodation for 11 charter guests in five suites and is available for charter in the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

With her eye-catching metallic silver hull, MUCHOS MAS is stunning inside and out. The contemporary interior is a tasteful fusion of rich Walnut Burl timber paneling and grey Vinyl Tweed fabric. Rift Sawn White Oak flooring offsets the sleek walnut cabinetry throughout.

An owner’s office leads into the elegant full beam Master suite, with Smart Glass Privacy Film windows. Bound for the Caribbean for the winter season, 118ft (36m) ZULU is an impressive explorer-style luxury charter yacht from Inace Yachts in Brazil, with distinctive design, exceptional capability and unique interior styling, with amazing amenities and room for up to 10 guests in five suites.

Her spacious aft deck area with elegant curtains and awnings for shade, is the ideal area for a decadent celebration, or to assemble your group for a foray to shore, or leap into the blue on Seadoos! The huge hydraulic swim platform makes access to the water easy. ZULU’S inviting sun deck boasts a jacuzzi, sunpads and expansive undercover terrace for meals with a view.
