Stand out charter yachts from the 2017 Florida International Boat Show

The 58th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show spanned more than three million square feet of exhibit space in-water and on land across seven locations The show is a significant event for charter vessels and Luxury Charter Group was there to inspect the current line-up. 

According to Luxury Charter Group's Sharon Bahmer, the range of luxury charter superyachts on show this year was impressive and catered to all styles of charter and guest tastes. Among the most memorable which Sharon inspected were TAKE 5, SUGARAY and BW, while her colleague Radek Gendek was particularly impressed with NITA K, CLOUDBREAK and SKYLER. Here are our picks of the top charter yachts from FLIBS this year.

TAKE 5

Built in 2016 by Sunseeker, charter yacht TAKE 5 accommodates up to 12 guests in 5 spacious staterooms. Her 900-square-foot master stateroom provides a luxurious private oasis featuring a walk-around king bed and ensuite with a large European rainfall shower and dual sinks.

TAKE 5 is a wonderful charter yacht for families as below deck she has two queen staterooms and the two twin-bed staterooms each with a Pullman. Guests staterooms are exquisitely decorated and positioned at water level offering charter guests tranquil water views.

Her multi-functional beach club houses the watertoys and can be converted into a recreational area when all they are in use.

SUGARAY

Brand new in 2017 from Ocean Alexander, SUGARAY is a 112.01ft (34.14m) motor yacht available for charter in the Bahamas.

With accommodation for up to 10 charter guests in 5 staterooms, SUGARAY is a tri-deck luxury charter yacht that will suit families and groups. There is something for everyone on each level! On the skylounge/bridge deck, there is a lounge and entertainment area.

The sundeck has a dining and full bar area covered by a hard top and further aft is a sunning area with chaise lounges and teak furniture.

Forward of the bridge via Portuguese walkaround deck is a table and seating overlooking the bow for the best views while at anchor or cruising. The third deck is multi-purpose, whether an intimate evening for cocktails with mood lighting overhead and a bubbling Jacuzzi dip or for a fun night of dancing and drinks.

BW

The 120.01ft (36.58m) Palmer Johnson 120 Open, BW is a performance superyacht that boasts a sleek and commanding profile, designed by Nuvolari & Lenard. With her navy hull and red accents, BW is a head-turner wherever she roams.

With room for 8 guests in 4 large staterooms, BW has an array of features praised by her fortunate charter guests, including a spacious sundeck with retractable staircase for the ultimate in privacy, plenty of areas for sunbathing and socialising, and a large swim platform.

SKYLER

A new 38.m (125ft) Benetti motor yacht, SKYLER can cater to a charter guest's dream vacation. The third hull in the Benetti Fast 125 series, SKYLER boasts interior styling by esteemed Redman Whiteley Dixon, and cutting-edge design and performance features.

Emphasis has been placed on outdoor living aboard SKYLER: on the sundeck centres around an L-shaped bar where guests can relax with cocktails with unimpeded views, plus there are sunpads and a big screen TV. 170ft (52m) NITA K II is an Amels motor yacht has accommodation for 12 guests in 5 staterooms with ample space for enjoying the sunshine and socialising while on you charter vacation.

Inside, neutral tones with metallic accents complement the natural woods and rich fabrics. Dining areas are large enough to seat as many as twelve guests at one time; but may also be configured for intimate meals.

On deck, guests will enjoy plenty of deck space for lounging, alfresco dining and relaxing. The Jacuzzi on the sundeck provides stunning views and complete privacy. The yacht-wide entertainment system allows guests to watch television and enjoy music on deck.

GIGI

GIGI is a 164ft (50m) Westport charter motor yacht with accommodation for up to 12 charter guests in 6 staterooms. The entryway can be partitioned from the main master stateroom for private use of the master office, while a comfortable lounge to starboard allows for the host to enjoy some privacy from the rest of the group. 

There are three alfresco dining options, one on each level. On the main level, the aft dining area can convert to a sophisticated and private Beach Club setting with full length drapery. The skylounge has a comfortable second saloon area with an additional portside balcony. The vast aft deck area on this level is excellent for alfresco dining or cocktail hour with a view. Forward of the bridge is a semi-circular booth seat with table providing another dining area.
