THE DESTINATION - GREECE
Greece

With over 2000 islands and countless miles of coastlines Greece is the perfect destination for a luxury yacht charter. Greece and her islands are an enduring magnet. An Athens - Athens itinerary allows you to explore either the picturesque and protected Saronic Gulf and Eastern Peloponnese or the picture-perfect postcard-capital that are the Cyclades.

Greece

The most famous island group in Greece is the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea comprising of some of the most idyllic islands. Pristine sandy beaches with shimmering azure water, white and blue architecture, picturesque chapels, local people who still live the traditional ways and offer a warm, hospitable welcome to visitors makes the Cyclades a treasure trove of experiences.

Greece

There are many stunning islands to explore here including Greece's most glamorous and popular island, Mykonos, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. For the luxury charter yacht guest, there is ample diversity to experience. Whether you are looking for night life, celebrity spotting and entertainment, or wishing to explore the island's history and traditions, Mykonos surpasses expectations.

Mykonos

And everyone has heard of Santorini: great poets have sung its praises for the last 4,000 years. There are not many places in the world where you can enjoy exquisitely clear waters while perched on the rim of a massive active volcano in the middle of the sea! Santorini is also blessed with seaside treasures: deep blue waters and beaches with white, red or black sand or volcanic pebbles, spectacular rock formations and impressive lunar landscapes.

Santorini

While Paros with its unrivalled natural beauty, beaches with crystal clear waters, Byzantine footpaths connecting traditional villages and breathtaking landscapes, Páros is one of the best-loved charter yacht destinations in Greece. Parikía (Parikiá), the capital of Páros, is a beautiful Cycladic village with whitewashed houses and neoclassical mansions.

Paros

Lesser known than the Cyclades the Saronic Gulf and Eastern Peloponnese has well protected anchorages and short, easy sailing distances. While close to bustling Athens one feels a lifetime away: attractive islands with peaceful, pretty seaside towns and villages, pine-clad interiors and beautiful bays. This is the perfect destination during the peak summer months when the Meltemi makes the Cyclades less than comfortable.

There are many reasons to fall in love with Hydra. It is truly a gem in the Saronic Gulf. Its rocky barren exterior hides one of the prettiest towns set in a beautiful curved bay, that has kept the town hidden from passing ships for centuries preserving the beautiful stone architecture. The waters here are deep and crystal clear. Instead of cars Hydra is home to 500 mules and donkeys that carry the heavier loads along criss-crossing rural paths and amongst the narrow stone streets of the town.

Spetses, an elegant, beautiful island just a few kilometres from mainland Peloponnese, has a great nightlife with some of the Saronic's best restaurants. The historic character of Spetses is apparent everywhere, most especially in the stately old town, a real architectural beauty full of two-story neoclassical houses with wooden balconies and colored walls.

Spetses

A visit to the Pelopponese should definitely include Monemvasia, an impressive, iceberg-like chunk of rock, with sheer cliffs rising hundreds of metres straight out of the turquoise waters of the Aegean. Today this medieval village, enclosed within the walls of its kastro or fort and looking out to sea, is an immensely popular tourist destination. It's winding narrow streets, terracotta buildings and colourful flowers make it a wonderful place to wander and explore.
