Barcelona beckons for the 2022 Luxury Charter Show

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the MYBA Charter Show will run 25 to 28 April at the picturesque Marine Port Vell in Barcelona, Spain.

A bustling port city on the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is a marvellous backdrop for the Show, with a rich cultural heritage dating back to the Roman era, and a vibrant, cosmopolitan street life.  

Show organisers promise a “scintillating comeback” with an innovative format and enhanced commitment to sustainability. We at Luxury Charter Group are thrilled to be back again meeting Captains, crew and yacht management of each of these superb vessels.

Among the many exceptional charter yachts at the Barcelona Show, these vessels are some of the standout ones. 

TRIUMPH

TRIUMPH is an impressive 214ft (65.4m) Benetti superyacht with the full array of luxurious leisure amenities over her six decks, including a helipad, cinema, sauna, fully-equipped gym, massage room, jacuzzi and massive beach club with a drop-down platform, and is available in the Balearic Islands, French Riviera, Sardinia and Italy over the Summer months, and the Bahamas and Caribbean in Winter 2022/23.

On deck, TRIUMPH offers guests several options for relaxing, including a large foredeck with retractable sunshade, sunlounges, sunpads and lounge area with table and seating.

The main aft deck is devoted to socialising with three long sofas, an extended glass table and arm chairs, while the upper aft deck has a dining table, lounge area and bar. Above, the bridge deck comprises an alfresco casual dining, bar and lounge area and flows into the spacious gym.

On the top level, the sun deck boasts a jacuzzi, comfortable seating and a table, with umbrellas for shade.

Inside, her interiors designed by Green & Mingarelli feature a masterful mix of materials such as leather, stainless steel, marble, teak, exotic timbers, and the original artwork of renowned British photographer David Yarrow. Befitting her name, there’s a unique Triumph motorcycle on show in the main saloon! Guests have the choice of main lounge with cinema and separate formal dining section, upper saloon and a large beach club with lounge and entertainment facilities.

A state-of-the-art elevator serves the entire vessel from lower deck to the bridge deck.

TRIUMPH has equally lavish accommodation for up to 12 charter guests including a ‘master apartment’ on the main deck, set over a sprawling 130-square-metres with huge ensuite with sauna, walk-in robe, office, the latest TV/AV and wrap around windows for panoramic views.  

Also on the main deck, a large VIP stateroom considered a ‘second master’ is an opulent stateroom with its own lounge and spacious ensuite with bathtub. On the lower deck are four double cabins, two VIP staterooms of and two twin cabins, each convertible to king size bed with additional Pullman berth.

TRIUMPH’S tenders and watertoys will keep guests entertained and include a 48ft (14.5m) WALLY  2022 model Chase Tender, 25ft (7.5m) Castoldi Jet Tender 25ft and additional 14ft (4.28m) Castoldi Jet Tender, Seadoos, Seabobs, Fliteboard, Aquaglide Supertramp, Aquaglide Jungle Jim, SUPS, snorkelling gear, towable inflatables, waterskis and wakeboards, two MATE electric bicycles for onshore exploring and a Gazebo and Beach set for picnics and barbecues ashore.

FALCO MOSCATA

FALCO MOSCATA is a unique, long-range 164ft (50m) cruising charter yacht with luxurious amenities and accommodation for up to nine charter guests, available in the West Mediterranean - Italy, the South of France, Corsica and Sardinia until June, before relocating to the East Med for the remainder of the season.

A multi-award winning superyacht, FALCO MOSCATA was designed by the esteemed Philippe Briand and built by Picchiotti and features a head-turning aluminium hull that provides exceptional cruising stability, various systems for low environment impact, as well as reduced draft of 2.3 metres that allows her to enter shallow waters and anchor close to shore.

FALCO MOSCATA’S aft deck includes sunpads and dining area for meals alfresco, plus an awning for shade as required. The expansive foredeck is ideal for guest use as a party deck or sunbathing area.

The bridge deck has a jacuzzi, sunlounges aft and side decks for guests to enjoy a full view of the surrounding panoramas. Through glass doors, guests can access the spacious upper saloon with lounge and entertainment area including Playstation 5. 

Her interiors, by Bernardo Chichi, have been recently refurbished and feature upgraded upholstery and accessories throughout. The saloon boasts high-tech entertainment system including 65-inch TV and full Apple and Google Chromecast Capabilities, as well as three C-shaped sofas and dining table for up to 10 people.

The master suite comprises two staterooms (one master suite and one single suite) both with large windows and ensuites fitted with Italian marble. On the lower deck are two VIP cabins and one twin cabin, each with private ensuite. All cabins have the latest flatscreen TVs and sound system controlled by iPad.

On board FALCO MOSCATA is a wide array of watertoys to suit every age and interest, including two Castoldi jet tenders, two Seadoo Spark Trixx, two e-foils, two Seabobs, Tiwal sailing boats with buoys for sailing races, SUPS, kayak, windsurfers, wakeboard, snorkelling gear and five Scuba diving sets, plus air compressor, inflatable tow toys and fishing rods. There’s also a selection of gym equipment.

Her crew of eight are proud to sail this one-of-a-kind, GREEN PLUS PLATINUM certified charter yacht and will go to great lengths to deliver memorable charters for guests.

BALISTA

Named after an ancient Greek weapon of war, BALISTA, 153ft (46.7m) is notable for her impressive arsenal of features. This three-deck, Italian-built luxury charter yacht is ideal for up to 12 guests and available for charter in the Mediterranean, Riviera, Italy and Montenegro.

The fantastic deck areas aboard BALISTA are divided into three sections: the sundeck is the hub for alfresco living, with sunlounges, bar, jacuzzi and U-shaped lounges under umbrellas; the expansive main deck aft is set up for dining alfresco, with round table and large banquette seating – perfect for cocktails before dinner; and the bridge deck has a larger dining table and seating for more formal occasions.

Inside, BALISTA has been recently refurbished and is adorned with beautiful Italian woodwork, stunning marble and plush furnishings with leather trim.

The main saloon and skylounge are spaces to relax and socialise, offering ample seating as well as a piano and bar in the main saloon. A standout feature BALISTA’S sliding doors in the skylounge that open to reveal a drop-down balcony for intimate dining or simply watching the sunset.

There are six generously sized staterooms aboard BALISTA, including a spacious main deck master suite featuring a king-size bed, walk-in robes, office and his-and-hers ensuite with bathtub and shower. The VIP stateroom can be used as a full-beam stateroom with a lounge or split into two separate staterooms with a pull-out couch for kids. There are also two double-bed staterooms and two twin-bed staterooms, each with private marble ensuite and all the latest TV/AV.

A vast array of watertoys and 39ft towed Tesoro tender will please guests looking for on-water fun. These include two Castoldi Jet Tenders for towing and skiing, two Seabobs, two Yamaha Waverunners, 21ft (6.5m) high inflatable waterslide, kneeboard, wakeboard, waterskis, inflatables and snorkelling gear.

MES AMIS

At 144ft (44m) sailing yacht MES AMIS is an award-winning luxury charter yacht with superb amenities and accommodation for up to 10 guests and available for charter in the Mediterranean, Balearic Islands, French Riviera, Greek Islands, Italy, Montenegro and Turkey over summer 2022, then moves to the Bahamas and Caribbean over winter 2022/23.

This sublime sloop designed by Dubois and built by Fitzroy yachts features expansive deck spaces, including a large, undercover cockpit with lounges and dining area, an array of sunpads aft, and a foredeck ideal for beanbags or sunlounges.

The interiors aboard MES AMIS, designed by Adam Lay Studio, are chic and timeless, with elegant timber flooring and panelling, cream carpets and furnishings, and a fascinating use of materials as diverse as bronze, granite, onyx, leather and textured glass. The saloon is bright offers brilliant views with a large skylight that extends from the dining and bar area to the sunken lounge below.

Guest accommodation comprises a full-beam master cabin with ensuite, two double staterooms and a twin with Pullman.

MES AMIS comes equipped with a 6m Smuggler tender, inflatables, SUPS, Yamaha Seawings, wakeboard, waterskis, two Seabobs and a highly-qualified crew of six who are renowned for their enthusiasm, creative cuisine and dedication to delivering the highest quality service.

NO.9

Luxury charter yacht NO.9 is a 131ft (40m) Sunseeker superyacht with impressive custom specifications throughout and accommodation for up to 10 guests, available for charter in the South of France, Riviera, Balearic Islands, Italy, Malta and Portugal.

NO.9 boasts several deck spaces for guests to socialise and enjoy the sunshine, including a spacious foredeck with seating, table and sunpads, and an inviting sundeck with undercover lounge, bar, additional sunpads, pop-up TV and a high-tech DJ/sound system. The main aft deck is set up for dining alfresco while the bridge deck aft area is yet another lounge space for entertaining.

Inside, the design and décor are the work of British designers Vickers Studio who have used a palette of polished dark woods, bright white and accents of blue to create a sleek, modern ambience. The main saloon features floor to ceiling windows for views from every angle from the lounge and formal dining areas. The skylounge has another social space with bar, TV/AV and comfortable lounge seating.

NO.9 comfortably accommodates 10 guests in five luxury staterooms, each with private ensuite. The full-beam master suite on the main deck and benefits from full-height windows, marble bathroom and walk in closet. On the lower deck are two generous VIP double cabins and two twins that convert into doubles, each with its own signature colour.

For on-water fun, NO.9 comes complete with a Williams Dieseljet 565 tender, two Seadoo RXP-X 300, two Seabobs F5S, waterskis and wakeboards, SUPS, hydro foil, fishing gear, a range of inflatable towables, dive equipment and Bauer air compressor. 

Her eight talented crew are ready and waiting to treat guests to all the delights on board NO.9, including their onboard Chef, renewed for customised menus and fantastic international cuisine featuring fresh local produce.

SANDS

At 117ft (37.5m) Italian-built motor yacht, silver-hulled SANDS is sleek, modern and fast, with accommodation for up to 12 guests and available for charter in Italy, Sardinia, Corsica, the French Riviera and Monaco.

There are several social areas on deck for guests to relax and entertain, including the main aft deck with seating, sunpads and bar, sundeck with undercover dining space and lounge, central bar and sunpads, and a massive Portuguese deck with commanding views and plenty of space for charter guests to spread out and soak up the sunshine or celebrate.

State-of-the-art audio visual systems are installed throughout the vessel, with ultra-high definition 4k TV screens, a central library of music and films, and entertainment systems controlled by iPad.

SANDS offers six guest suites, including two VIP staterooms of equal size on the main deck, two additional doubles and two twins.

For guests to enjoy time together on and in the water, SANDS is equipped with a Williams 520 Sportjet tender as well Seabobs, kayaks, SUPS, snorkelling gear and scuba diving equipment.

MIMI LA SARDINE 

Italian-built 108.5ft (33.1m) MIMI LA SARDINE is a marvellous choice for charter in the French Riviera and Italy, and ideal for families or large groups of up to 12 guests.

Award-winning MIMI LA SARDINE is an exceptional family-friendly charter yacht with each area of the vessel dedicated to various zones. This three-decked luxury charter yacht boasts an amazing sundeck with jacuzzi, bar, dining table, sunpads and lounges, and multiple social areas, including a main saloon and upper-level formal dining area, and a spacious, safe beach club which is ideal for launching watertoys or watching the fun.

Inside, the ‘beach house’ décor and styling of MIMI LA SARDINE are the work of Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino of Nauta Yachts and is characterised by the use of eye-catching organic materials and untreated timbers, such as oak to mimic driftwood, which combine to create a laid-back, tranquil environment which is at the same time sophisticated and luxurious.

The saloon and social spaces use visually enticing furnishing and custom pieces from renowned Italian design houses such as Baxter, Flexform, B&B, Flos and Gervasoni, and much of the upholstery is by Loro Piana.

MIMI LA SARDINE accommodates up to 12 guests in five double staterooms. Each guest room has large windows for dazzling sea views, impeccably crafted timber panelling, well-placed LED lighting, and plants and artwork that enhance the cosy feel.

Guests will enjoy the full range of watertoys, including 6.5m Extender SRL tender for day excursions, Sea-Doo XPS, Seabobs, kayaks, SUPS, waterskis, snorkelling gear, three e-bikes for exploring onshore, and towable inflatables. There’s a good selection of gym equipment for charter guests wishing to maintain their well-being.

MIMI LA SARDINE’S experienced crew of six include a gourmet Chef and highly-skilled watersports instructors.

YOLO 

The 74ft (22.7m) Sunreef 70, YOLO is a luxurious, family-friendly sailing catamaran with exceptional interior design and vast outdoor living spaces, suitable for up to 10 charter guests and available in the Balearic Islands during the upcoming Summer season, followed by the British Virgin Islands, and US Virgin Islands over Winter 2022/23.

With her outstanding living spaces, YOLO will delight charter guests with her large deck areas, including aft cockpit with a dining area and extended swim platform, plus a cosy bow terrace featuring sunken lounge and dual trampolines for guests to relax suspended above the water. Up on the flybridge, there’s a bar, barbecue, sofa and sunpads.

The interiors of YOLO are contemporary and chic, decorated in a neutral palette of earthy tones and sophisticated grey and black. The aft deck flows seamlessly into the saloon for optimal entertaining. The saloon comprises Chef’s galley to port and lounge to starboard, so guests can enjoy the Chef’s preparation and presentation.

Along with wi-fi, YOLO is fitted with the latest SONOS music system throughout, Bilken & Wilkinson speakers and TVs in each stateroom.

The custom-designed five-cabin layout includes a large master suite with a king size bed, vanity desk, pop-up TV, ensuite and plenty of storage. Guest accommodation also includes two comfortable staterooms, a VIP cabin, each with private ensuites, plus an office with a convertible sofa bed for two children.

This luxury charter catamaran is filled with watertoys that will please active guests and those willing to learn a new skill. The tender is a Williams 445 turbojet, and there are two Seabobs, SIPS, waterskis, wakeboard, snorkelling gear and fishing rods.
