Sea, Sun, and Superyachts: The Best of the 2024 Bahamas Boat Show

The Bahamas is a perennially popular charter region, and one we are familiar with from personal experience. LCG brokers have enjoyed charters and taken various itineraries throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean and are well versed on the highlights as well as the “hidden gems” known only to locals and seasoned charter skippers.

At the 2024 Bahamas Boat Show, these were the luxury charter yachts that we believe deserve special mention.

HOME

A magnificent, 163ft (49.8m) custom-built Heesen superyacht, HOME is every bit as welcoming as her name implies. There are several deck spaces for guests to socialise and unwind, including an oversize beach club with indoor-outdoor lounge, the main aft deck set up with banquette seating for relaxing, upper aft deck for alfresco dining, and sundeck with its deck chairs, dining area, bar and jacuzzi.

The massive foredeck is dedicated to stowing the impressive range of tenders and watertoys.

With her “Ibiza-inspired” interiors, HOME offers guests incredible lounge and dining spaces, featuring massive full height windows for exceptional views, six lavish staterooms, an air-conditioned gym and skylounge that’s ideal for film nights with the family. The full-beam master suite and VIP suite are tranquil and luxurious, with large glazing for incredible panoramic views.

State-of-the-art hybrid propulsion means HOME is close to silent and produces fewer emissions.

VIVACE

The Italian-made allure of this 102ft (31m) luxury charter yacht combines with superb features to delight up to 10 charter guests.

Sleek and spacious, VIVACE boasts a wonderful, expanded beach club/aft deck with pool, lounge and undercover dining area flowing seamlessly from the transom, creating a massive social space for guests to enjoy.

The sundeck too, is designed for guests to spend time together, with a large bar, lounge, sunpads, undercover dining and two flatscreen TVs. There’s another appealing social space on the foredeck, with u-shaped seating and table offering unobstructed views.

Inside, VIVACE décor is modern and inviting, featuring impeccable timberwork and floor-to-ceiling windows so charter guests don’t miss a moment of the passing scenery. The saloon is equipped with a high-tech entertainment system, lounges, bar and dining section.

VIVACE accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms, each with marble ensuite. The full-beam master suite comprises office, lounge and large closet., and there are two VIP cabins, and two twin cabins, one of which converts to a queen.

Along with a full range of watertoys, including 2-seater Waverunner, two Seabobs, e-foil hydrofoil, inflatable party island and snorkelling gear, VIVACE offers guests a 32ft fully enclosed Worldcat towed tender rigged for fishing.

CURFEW II

At 104ft (32m), CURFEW II has an explorer-style design and is well-equipped with on board amenities for up to 10 charter guests.

The expansive foredeck features a section for sunpads and a dining space with bimini for protection against the elements. At night, this area and the other deck spaces can be lit-up with scintillating LED lighting to create a party ambience.

The aft deck is a superb undercover space for dining and socialising, while the sundeck above boasts a jacuzzi, lounge, dining, sun lounges and space to set up an on-deck gym, complete with sunshade.

Inside, this unique charter yacht continues the theme of sophisticated contemporary décor complemented by LED lighting and soft furnishings in neutral tones, with pops of purple.

CURFEW II accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including a spacious full beam master cabin on the main deck, with private office and generous ensuite featuring a spa tub. There there are four beautifully appointed staterooms on the lower deck, each with ensuite and chic décor.

MIDORI

This popular luxury charter yacht is a 69ft (21m) Sunreef sailing catamaran, with an impressive range of watertoys on board, jacuzzi on the bow, experienced crew and four luxurious cabins for up to eight charter guests.

On deck, MIDORI has broad living and entertaining areas for guests to spread out and relax, including an excellent foredeck with dual trampolines and sunpads. The beach club extends from the garage for easy launching of watertoys and tenders, and there’s a versatile sundeck with bar, undercover dining seating and table and deck area to recline and soak up the sunshine.

Inside, the décor is light and bright, with a palette of grey and white. The saloon comprises a galley with long breakfast bar for guests to enjoy the Chef in action, lounge with TV and dining table with seating for eight guests. Full-height windows let in light and the views.

Below decks, accommodation comprises three double cabins, a twin cabin and generously-sized master stateroom decorated in tranquil sea-blue with large ensuite, TV and ample storage.

LADY JOY 

This superlative Christensen superyacht is 157ft (47.85m), is described as a “family friendly” charter yacht, ideal for up to 12 guests, with all the modern luxuries on board to ensure guests are comfortable and content.

Spanning three decks, this luxury charter yacht offers guests multiple spaces for relaxing, dining and entertaining. The main aft deck is a great spot for relaxing while watching other guests enjoy watersports and swimming off the swim platform.

The bridge deck has another, more formal dining space for alfresco meals. The sundeck boasts undercover dining, large bar, grill and a jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads for total relaxation while on charter in the Bahamas. Then the foredeck has yet another casual space for meals, or sundowners in the evening, plus sunpads with the best view on the vessel.

Interiors are a pleasant blend of traditional dark wood with fresh, chic furnishings. The saloon comprises a lounge area with large flatscreen TV, bar and dining table.

There are six staterooms on board LADY JOY, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck, with vanity, lounge, large ensuite with spa tub, and separate office. The additional five suites are belowdeck, each with private ensuite, TV/AV and decorated with original artwork.

ARTEMIS

A fast and nimble luxury charter yacht, this 108ft (33m) Mangusta superyacht is ideal for up to eight charter guests, with unrivalled style, features and watertoys on board for a fun-filled charter.

The main aft deck is perfect for alfresco dining, and above, on the Skydeck level, there’s additional seating, bar, as well as sunpads for soaking up the warm sunshine.

At the bow, there’s a c-shaped seating area with table, plus an massive array of sunpads which converts into a large jacuzzi for a refreshing dip.

ARTEMIS’ modern interiors are sophisticated and inviting. The décor is based on a palette of warm, earthy tones, with dark wood cabinetry, timber flooring and contemporary furnishings. The saloon comprises lounge and separate dining area, taking advantage of the full-height windows for mesmerizing views.

For accommodation, there is a superb master stateroom on the main deck, with plenty of storage, desk/vanity, lounge and an ensuite with steam shower. Below deck, there are four additional staterooms, and guests can take their pick of the three most suitable for their group. All cabins are designed with a masterful blend of materials, large windows with shutters, LED lighting for a cosy ambience and marble ensuites.
