Luxury Charter Group attend the 2018 Antigua Charter Yacht Show

Luxury Charter Group Charter will attend again this year and we’re looking forward to reconnecting with our colleagues and contacts, Captains and crews and inspecting these superlative charter vessels in this Caribbean paradise. More importantly attending the Show is the best investment for Luxury Charter Group team to gather the intellectual knowledge which ensures we are always best informed for our clients, enabling us to make the right matches for our clients’ specific requirements. Each year our Team inspects over 400 of the world’s most luxurious charter yachts.

This year’s Antigua Charter Show will take place as usual at the Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina.   There are plenty of opportunities to network, socialise and meet the Captains and Crews during onboard inspections.

The Chef’s Competition, now in its 19th year is a favourite event. Cuisine on a yacht charter is crucially important and  the competition sees superyacht chefs go head to head trying to wow the judges with their culinary creations. This year the theme is “A New Year’s Eve Dinner Party” for Chefs and an equally festive “A New Year’s Eve Decorative Table Setting” for stewards and stewardesses to compete for the most creative “tablescaping” (a ‘new word’ in our charter vocabulary)  Chefs will be tested to create a first course, main and dessert showcasing their skills, with the added complexity of special dietary criteria for each category plus specifications from their ‘charter guests’ as to how they want to celebrate this special evening.

Here are just a few of the many sensational yachts that we will be inspecting:

PHOENIX 2

At 295.34ft (90m), PHOENIX 2 is a commanding presence on the water. This superb Lurssen superyacht has accommodation for up to 12 guests in six magnificent cabins, including a master suite, two VIP staterooms and three double cabins. 

The owner’s suite is a beautiful full beam Deco Duplex reminiscent of New York in the 1930’s and offers breathtaking views of the sea.

Among her myriad features is a 7.5m pool on the sundeck plus private jacuzzi attached to the master cabin, fully-equipped gymnasium, a unique ‘Winter garden’ dining area and a beautiful phoenix statuette on the prow of the vessel. Other attributes of the mega yacht PHOENIX 2 include a cinema and a deck devoted to health and wellbeing, with gym, hammam, spa room with massage table and beauty salon. An elevator connects all levels, running from the lower deck up to the bridge deck.

PHOENIX 2 and her 28 professional crew are renowned for their hospitality and skills.

ALFA NERO

The Oceanco-built 269ft (82m) charter yacht ALFA NERO is a highly-awarded superyacht which has abounds in features and has accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins: one king, three queen, and two convertible cabins.

The master suite occupies an entire deck and includes a private terrace and jacuzzi. Then there’s a spa and fully-equipped gym for fitness activities.

On deck, the 7m pool transforms into a dance floor which is ideal for celebrating a special occasion or dancing the night away. Dining options include a cantilevered balcony for intimate celebrations or larger groups within a circular glass salon with retracting doors.

GO

New to the charter fleet in 2018, 77m Turquoise motor yacht GO is an eye-catching blue-hulled superyacht with a sleek profile and plenty of features to captivate her guests – up to 18 accommodated in nine lavish cabins, with a crew of 20 to attend to your every wish. 

With the theme of “water in motion” throughout the vessel, GO boasts marine-coloured interiors, metallic finishes, fabrics and stonework. Over five levels, the mega yacht GO has plenty of space and amenities, including a 5m pool with massage jets and waterfall, Sea Spray Chandelier in the lobby, an elevator linking floors, beach club with lounge, bar, massage room and dive store.

For her 14 guests, dining alfresco is an absolute indulgence around a large back-lit onyx table on the upper deck, compete with bar and an integrated teppanyaki grill. On the bridge aft deck, the lounge and dining furniture can be cleared to transform the space into a dance floor.

NAIA

241ft (73.6m) NAIA is a spacious and gracious charter yacht with four decks and accommodation for up to 12 guests in eight luxurious cabins.

The master stateroom spans an entire “penthouse” private deck with fore and aft terraces, offices and 360° panoramic views. Then there are five guest staterooms (one VIP suite with an emperor bed, four double/twin king size convertible suites) on the main deck. There is also a double guest suite with a king size bed and one single suite with a Pullman. 

An elegant spiral staircase connects all decks and the master deck can also be reached by elevator, leading from the sun deck below.

The aft section of the bridge deck houses a large lounge and dining, with additional casual seating and bar area which converts to a cinema. A large al fresco dining area on the aft deck features a buffet, casual lounge section and a bar.

The heli deck is an epitome of spacious luxury, with fore and aft sundecks. Inside the large fully-equipped gym boasts panoramic views and a jacuzzi. NAIA will thrill guests with her selection of watertoys and tenders, which include a 9m McMullen & Wing dive tender with submarine support and all the gear, Waverunners, wakeboards, waterskis, two Seabobs, paddleboards, kayaks and an Aquaglide trampoline.

NAIA’S 22 crew are trained in all using PWCs and sailing and are known for their attentive service.

 NAUTILUS

The former GRACE E, this stunning Perini Navi-built 240ft (73m) superyacht has won a slew of awards for her design, styling and low environmental impact.

Conceived for long-range cruising, NAUTILUS is able to roam the world’s oceans in complete comfort and safety for weeks at a time. With capacity to host 12 guests in the pinnacle of luxury, NAUTILUS boasts innovative diesel-electric and Azipod propulsion for quiet, efficient cruising.

NAUTILUS has exterior spaces spread over five decks. Inside or out, day or night, Grace E offers multiple options for dining and relaxation on all deck levels. The upper deck, or “Wellness Deck”, is dedicated to personal fitness and health, with a gym, sauna and hydrotherapy equipment. An 11ft lap/exercise pool with varying resistance speeds is situated main deck aft.

 Her interiors are by the renowned Remi Tessier and are serene, soothing, spacious and decorated with original artwork, masterful lighting and impeccable furnishings.

There is versatile accommodation for 12 guests in seven staterooms, including a spectacular full-beam owner’s stateroom with His & Hers ensuites with shower and lavish central tub. There are two VIP suites on the main deck, two double guest staterooms and 2 twin with interconnecting door between each double cabin and single cabin to allow conversion to a family suite.

NAUTILUS’ amazing sky lounge has a brilliant U-shaped cocktail bar with armchair seating which doubles as buffet and sushi station. For guests’ total pampering, NAUTILUS boasts a dedicated beauty salon for hair and beauty treatments.

JOY

Built by prestigious Dutch yard, Feadship, JOY is an award-winning 230ft (70m) luxury charter yacht with five decks and expansive outdoor space for up to 12 guests in seven double and one twin guest cabins.

A magnificent 200ft (60.9m) Feadship charter yacht, SAMADHI has the full range of amenities dedicated to entertaining, socialising and on-water fun, ideal for large groups of up to 12 guests in complete comfort.

HOME

Built by Heesen Yachts of the Netherlands, 163ft (50m) HOME is a study in luxury, comfort and efficiency. HOME was the world's first Fast Displacement Hull Form motor yacht with a hybrid propulsion system, making her an ultra-efficient vessel, with low fuel consumption and extended range, without compromising on speed.

The style aboard HOME is described as “modern beach villa”, with the extensive use of glass to ensure plenty of natural light coming into the bright and airy interior. A colour palette of white and burgundy, with leather and stainless steel details add to the lavish styling.

An elegant 126ft (38.4m) Ferretti Custom Line charter yacht which joined the global fleet in 2018, VISTA BLUE is a spacious and sophisticated superyacht with accommodation for 12 guests in five luxurious staterooms.

This amazing Benetti VIVACE 125 motor yacht offers accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins, as well as a boasting a host of unique features such as private balconies, Italian furnishings and a full complement of fun water toys.

JAZZ 100

A beautiful tri-deck Benetti superyacht, 99ft (30.23m) JAZZ 100 has large living and deck spaces, and accommodation for eight guests in four cabins: a master suite, one VIP suite, one double cabin and one twin cabin that can convert to a queen.

With a large alfresco dining space on the main aft deck, there’s additional entertaining and relaxing area on the upper deck, including bar, dining area and comfortable lounge section. On the sundeck, which can be enclosed for protection in all conditions, there is plenty of seating under umbrellas an a partial hardtop, as well as sunpads for guests to soak up the Mediterranean sun during their charter.

BLUE GRYPHON

Spacious and elegant under sail, this 83ft (25.3m) motor sailer catamaran is perfectly equipped for groups of up to 12 charter guests to explore the British Virgin Islands on their charter vacation.

One of the key features of BLUE GRYPHON is her massive cockpit lounge and dining area with table and seating, as well as dual staircase access to the oversize swim platform. From here, guests can launch the vessel’s watertoys, step aboard the amazing 28ft Axopar dayboat for trips to shore and towing skis or inflatables, or simply pull up a deck chair and enjoy the sunshine while the crew tends the barbecue.

LA PACE

A sporty and speedy 80ft (24.38m) Ferretti motor yacht, with accommodation for eight guests in four cabins, LA PACE is an excellent choice for charter.

The aft deck is a great place for alfresco dining and taking in the views and flows into the saloon lounge and dining area for easy entertaining. The flybridge is perfectly set up for lazing around and enjoying the sunshine, with a sunpad, seating and table and a retractable top for shade, as well as a barbecue grill. The foredeck has a large sunpad and settee with a table for sunset drinks at anchor or enjoying the breeze while cruising.

DIANA

Elegant under sail, this 74ft (22.4m) motor sailer from Sunreef is a stately catamaran offering luxury, comfort and performance. With ample space for up to eight people in four cabins, DIANA has large deck and interior spaces for guests to relax and enjoy their charter vacation.

DIANA’S charter-friendly layout features four equal sized double cabins, each with generous ensuite, and a décor that is modern, marine-themed and a brilliant blend of interesting textiles, textures, furnishings and LED lighting for a soothing ambience.

New in 2017, this 68ft (20.73m) Sunreef Supreme power catamaran is a superb example of the “space, pace and grace” multihulls are known for. With her eye-catching blue hull, contemporary styling and large deck and living spaces, CHRISTINA TOO will thrill guests looking for a unique charter vessel with luxury and comfort in abundance.

The Sunreef Supreme 68 is the world’s only 68-foot yacht model equipped with a superyacht dinghy garage and 300m² of living space.
