Douce France
Douce France has the ability to sail at a constant 22 knots in a 28 knot breeze, and regularly achieves 15 knots in 20 knots of wind. Her twin diesel engines also allow her to silently cruise at up to 12 knots, with a very economical cruise speed of around 10 knots.
However speed is just one element on DOUCE FRANCE ... above all she is a cruising superyacht. Her interior is elegant and simple with a colonial ambience created by the use of mahogany and rosewood furniture on the main deck. By contrast the staterooms are decorated in pale sycamore and all 6 conveniently convert to either double or twin rooms all with ensuites.
Guests have a choice of three dining areas: the spacious cockpit pleasantly shaded by the deckhouse; the more intimate lounge for the cooler evenings. or the aft teak deck for dining under the stars. The 250-bottle cave à vin of select wines will please the most discerning guest and compliment the flavours of cuisine. Unique Douce France tableware from Limoges, enhances the presentation.
With cushioned seating and sunbathing mattresses, the foredeck is a prime setting to relax. Aft access to the water is particularly easy, using the folding stairway. The LUXURY CHARTER GROUP was most recently on board during her refit in New Zealand.
