Anguilla forms part of the Leeward Islands on the northeast Caribbean. The island makes up for its small size in much-sought after Caribbean bliss of immaculate, powdery beaches, coral coastline and glistening, multicolored waters.

WEATHER: Tropical wet and dry, moderated by northeast trade winds with temperatures varying little throughout the year. Average daily temperatures range from 27C (80F) in December to 30C (87F) in July. The most rain falls September-October and the driest months are February and March. Hurricane season is June-November.

AIRPORTS: Anguilla is served by the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) located outside of The Valley.

RECOMMENDED BEACHES: Anguilla offers a total of 33 fine beaches, all of which are worth visiting; Shoal Bay, Rendezvous Bay, Little Bay, Maundays are just a few.

CULTURAL: Atmosphere is very laidback and English customs prevail. Beachwear should be confined to beaches and resorts. Anguillians are very warm people and will greet anyone they meet, whether they know them personally or not. Smoking is allowed in public.
