Each year, the invitation-only MYS curates an exhibition of 125 extraordinary one-off superyachts built by the world's most respected shipyards, welcomes 580 leading companies from the yachting industry and hosts 45 global debuts.

Here, we bring you a preview of some of the Best of Show we will be stepping onboard during the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show, enjoying their hospitality, dining onboard, and quizzing Captains, crew and managers on their itineraries and onboard experiences.

AQUARIUS

Aquarius

The 92m (301'10") custom-built Feadship, AQUARIUS features a contemporary exterior design with a number of archetypal Feadship elements, such as a conventional bow and raked superstructure shape, designed by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design in cooperation with Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects.

Mega yacht AQUARIUS boasts six staterooms for 12 guests, with an owner's stateroom on the owner's deck with separate his-and-her bathrooms, massage room, media room and private balcony. There is accommodation for 31 crew in 14 crew cabins, plus the Captain's cabin.

CLOUD 9

Cloud 9

Brand new to charter in 2017, this impeccable 74m (242ft) luxury motor yacht was custom built by CRN in Italy, with interiors designed by Winch Design and exterior styling by Zuccon International Project.

CLOUD 9 boasts impressive volume – more than 10,764 square feet (1,000 square metres) spread over five decks, plus a sub deck. With a beam of 13.5 metres, living and staterooms are exceptionally spacious. Forward of the master suite is a large alfresco space, characteristic of flow between enclosed and open spaces.

This mega yacht comfortably accommodates up to 12 for charter in a master suite, VIP suite and six guest cabins, in addition to 22 crew members in 13 cabins plus berths for four staff in two cabins.

SILVERFAST

Silverfast

The stunning 77m (252.62ft) Silver Series motor yacht called SILVERFAST has won all kinds of accolades, including the Monaco Yacht Show Finest New Yacht Award in 2015, since her launch that year by SilverYachts. This luxury vessel's sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Espen Oeino while her interiors are the work of Vain Interiors.

With accommodation for 12 guests in eight suites, SILVERFAST is the world's largest and fastest aluminium motor yacht with conventional propulsion. Proven for long ocean passages in all sea states, her slender hull cuts through the waves with ease and she is quiet and vibration-free for night-time passages at 18 to 20 knots. Quantum zero speed stabilisers keep her equally comfortable at anchor. Her shallow draft (2.6m) makes her perfect for cruising the shoal waters of the Gulf, the Maldives, the South Pacific and the Bahamas.

The main deck features panoramic views from large picture windows and leads aft to the 'theatre room' with huge plasma cinema screen. Then there's SILVERFAST'S 'winter garden' - a fantastic glass-screened, air-conditioned space that allows for flexible indoor/outdoor dining whatever the weather. Wraparound sliding glass doors shield this area, with dining table and seating up to 20 guests, from the wind and rain .

The entire upper deck is reserved for the owner's apartment with master suite, his-and-hers bathrooms and walk-in robe, office and large saloon leading to the owner's 'outdoor retreat' - a secluded private deck area.

SILVERFAST'S Beach Club caters to guests with a passion for fitness, with a gym, spa, sauna, hot steam room, massage room and beauty salon. On the sun deck, the mirrored bar front converts into a TV to allow movies to be viewed from the glass-fronted eight-person Jacuzzi.

LEGEND

Legend

True to her name, the mega yacht LEGEND offers charter guests pure unadulterated adventure, thrills and fun with all the luxuries you would come to expect of a superyacht from world-class cuisine to a dedicated spa centre. Capable of roaming the world, even its remotest reaches, LEGEND is a one of a kind luxury ice-breaking yacht with all these capabilities and many more.

Built as a fully classified Class 1 ice-breaking ship, LEGEND has been converted at the Icon Yachts shipyard into a superb charter yacht with the project management of Verkerk Yachting Projects. LEGEND is capable of carrying 26 guests in total luxury, without losing her safety and strength as an icebreaker.

LEGEND'S helicopter landing pad is commercially certified and a submarine is stored in a garage on the forward deck. The helicopter and submarine are offered for charters at an extra cost. She also features a gym, a Balinese spa with sauna, Jacuzzi and beauty salon, a movie theatre and entertainment system, medical suite, swimming pool and all the toys you can imagine from paddle boards to jet-skis to snow scooters.

The superyacht LEGEND comfortably accommodates 26 guests in 13 cabins, including a master suite, two VIP suites, four double staterooms and six twin staterooms (all of them convertible to double staterooms). She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew on board, plus an extra 10 expedition crew (doctor, ice-pilot, expedition leaders, naturalists), ensuring the most relaxed luxury yacht experience combined with the thrills of an unparalleled discovery adventure.

OKTO

Okto

Built in 2014 by the International Shipyard, Italy, OKTO is a 66m (217ft) luxury charter yacht with incredible features, including nearly silent propulsion, and a breathtaking infinity pool that is six metres long with six options: salt or freshwater, warm or cool water, still or contraflow.

With a cantilevered upper deck, OKTO'S dining terrace leads inside to a circular cinema with a 103-inch screen. The master suite has an automatic balcony, a separate VIP suite and is finished in white sycamore. OKTO has been designed to dramatic effect using a limited colour palette of black, white and silver. Spectacular sculptures and bold furniture pieces create a contemporary style that is awe-inspiring.

Onboard for guests' complete leisure is a massage, beauty and therapy room with massage therapist/beautician in attendance, as well as an impressive array of tenders and toys to keep even the most energetic charter guests occupied.

50 - 65m:
VERTIGE

Vertige

Luxury charter yacht VERTIGE was built in 2017 by Tankoa, and is a 50m (164ft) motor yacht that comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests in six staterooms, with interiors and exteriors designed by Francesco Paszkowski.

The decks of charter yacht VERTIGE are exceptionally well-appointed across three levels, with ample space for relaxation or socialising. The alfresco space aft of the main deck offers outdoor dining options, a fabulous sunpad lounge area, a wet bar and the option of complete shade.

Adjacent to the skylounge, the upper deck of VERTIGE has more alfresco dining and seating options. Luxury charter yacht VERTIGE also has extra seating available on her foredeck. Along with superb views, the sundeck offers a Jacuzzi, wet bar with seating, sun lounges and dining table. The yacht also features a garage side deck that allows guests to access water toys without disrupting those on the fold-out teak Beach Club.

SEVEN SINS

Seven Sins

Built in 2017 by Italian yard Sanlorenzo, charter yacht SEVEN SINS is the largest motor yacht to date from the brand, at 52m (171ft), and is making her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The steel-hulled superyacht has accommodation for 10 guests in five staterooms.

One of the groundbreaking elements on the aft section is the large swimming pool on the main deck. Boasting a transparent floor, it allows natural light to filter into the beach club below. This space features two folding terraces, one on each side of the yacht, serving as platforms with direct access to the sea.

The same area can be transformed into a garage with a controlled flooding system for the storage of a tender up to eight-metres in length. This part of the boat also houses a fully equipped, customised gym.

The internal layout hosts a large owner's apartment in the bow on the main deck including a private office, a full-beam cabin and an ensuite in sculpted marble.

There are two spacious saloons, one on the main deck and one on the upper deck and external living areas on the main, upper and sun deck. Other impressive attributes include an internal staircase in Carrara marble, a glass exhibition case displaying the owner's artwork, and a sixth guest cabin on the bridge deck.

STEP ONE

Step One

The 55m (180.45ft) Amels 180 Limited Editions motor yacht STEP ONE was built in 2012 with interiors designed by Laura Sessa Romboli and exterior styling is by Tim Heywood Design.

STEP ONE accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including a master suite, four double cabins and one twin cabin. Ideal for families and large groups, STEP ONE has a 155m² split-level sundeck, steam room in the Beach Club, piano bar in skylounge and a helipad.

The glamorous skylounge, where the grand piano can be relied on for live entertainment, provides for lively evenings. Guests can continue the conversation on the upper deck aft, where there is the option to dine alfresco, or relax around the stern under the stars.

SARASTAR

Sarastar

Built by Mondomarine, Italy, the tri-deck superyacht SARASTAR is a 60m (197.5ft) luxury charter yacht that entered the charter fleet in July 2017. With her sporty and elegant lines, lthe mega yacht SARASTAR was designed by the acclaimed Luca Dini, who has incorporated white onyx, exotic marbles, semi-precious stones and silk into the interiors.

Designers created a strong link between all three decks with a series of triple skylights to allow light to flow from the sun deck down to the beach club, via the aft deck.

SARASTAR accommodates up to 12 guests in a master suite, four double guest suites and one twin guest cabin. A key centrepiece on board SARASTAR is a glass sculpture by the Italian artist Lorenzo Malfatti, which encloses the spectacular superyacht staircase. There is also an amazing full-beam sky lounge on the upper deck with a versatile space on the foredeck, which can be used as an enclosed superyacht tender garage, or opened up to create a sunbathing space, helipad or dance floor.

OASIS

Oasis

The 59.4m (194.88ft) charter yacht OASIS was built in 2006 by Lürssen and last refitted in 2009, with immaculate interiors by Glade Johnson Design.

OASIS has an esteemed charter reputation, accommodating 12 guests in six lavish staterooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. The full-beam master suite boasts private lounge complete with 50" TV.

With interior décor that is both laid back and chic in Country House-style, OASIS spoils charter guests for choice with onboard activities, including a fully equipped gym that converts into a nightclub with mood lighting and TV, an open sundeck, barbeque and a Jacuzzi.

OASIS comes complete with a massive array of watertoys, as well as a beautiful 7.5m Vikal custom sports tender for day trips to shore in enviable style.

SEALYON

Sea Lyon

Launched by Viareggio Superyachts in 2009, SEALYON was designed by legendary yacht specialist, Espen Oeino. Her interior, styled by Candy & Candy, is inspired by Art Deco while her layout has been meticulously designed for entertaining and socialising with a myriad of lounging and relaxing areas both inside and on deck.

Luxury charter yacht SEALYON accommodates 12 charter guests in six luxurious staterooms including a master suite, a VIP stateroom, two double staterooms and two twin staterooms that can be converted into doubles. Similar to the main saloon, the staterooms are all decorated with an Art Deco feel while the master suite boasts remarkable panoramic views.

SEALYON has a number of dining areas to choose from, including formal dining in the saloon and al fresco meals on deck. With two experienced chefs at your disposal you will be sure to enjoy only the finest cuisine.

The rotating circular sun pad aft of the sun deck, complete with cooling mist for relief from the sun, is the ideal spot for recharging your batteries or immersing yourself in a good book.

Other facilities on board include an office, gym, Schimmel grand piano, entertainment room and enormous open sun deck, as well a myriad of water toys and tenders available for guests on their charter vacation.

SKYFALL

Skyfall

The all-aluminium 57.91m (189.99ft) custom-designed and built luxury charter motor yacht SKYFALL was built in 2010 by US yard, Trinity Yachts, with elegant interiors by Patrick Knowles.

A highlight of SKYFALL is her shallow draft, which allows her to access shallow waters that other yachts of her size cannot reach. All decks offer alfresco dining options, while the sundeck boasts a large Jacuzzi and splash pool surrounded by sun pads and a semi-circular bar.

Described as 'urban contemporary with overtones of Zen', the interior design of SKYFALL features an abundance of woods and stones, beautifully etched glass and unusual materials such as petrified tree trunks. Other highlights include an unusual foyer aft boasting a statement wine cabinet and a Tiger's Eye bar top in the sky lounge.

There is accommodation for up to 12 guests in seven staterooms, including a split-level master suite.

Luxury charter yacht SKYFALL boasts a state-of-the-art stabilization system, which reduces roll motion and results in a smoother, more enjoyable cruising experience. She also features at-anchor stabilizers which work at zero speed to increase on-board comfort both at anchor and on rough waters.

LATITUDE

Latitude

A sensational Art Deco delight over five levels, LATITUDE is a 52m (170.60ft) Benetti motor yacht built for charter by Benetti in 2008 and most recently refitted in 2013. Her exterior styling is by Stefano Natucci while interiors were undertaken by Benetti.

The objective of the owner of LATITUDE was to create an ambience that would evoke the grandeur of Transatlantic ocean liners from the 1920s and the 1930s, with a modern touch. Exotic materials were skillfully used, including cherry wood, crystal, marble, stainless steel, fine leather, engraved glass and shagreen (stingray skin), with a lavish elevator joining all five decks.

The main saloon on board LATITUDE has a lounge and formal dining area, and a second saloon features a games table, bar and lounge on the upper deck. For totally pampering charter guests, there's a beauty salon on the lower deck.

LATITUDE'S flybridge deck boasts lounges and sunpads to soak up the rays and enjoy panoramic views to the horizon. The sundeck features a Jacuzzi, Teppanyaki bar and an al fresco dining space with a round table for 12 guests.

LATITUDE has an abundance of water toys, providing endless hours of entertainment for charter guests of all ages: Jetskis, seabobs, kite surfers, kayaks, water skis, towables, snorkel gear and an inflatable water slide with trampoline.

LADY SARA

Lady Sara

At 57m (187ft), LADY SARA is a 2012 superyacht built by US yard Trinity Yachts and winner of the 2013 World Superyacht Award for Best Three-deck Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Yacht.

A voluminous interior decorated in fine marbles and stone by Evan K Marshall accommodates 12 guests in six cabins consisting of a main deck master suite, four identical double suites and a twin, all with entertainment centres, television screens and marble ensuites.

The guest suite on the bridge deck can be converted to a gymnasium if required. Supremely well-conceived for entertaining, LADY SARA's main saloon is inviting and comfortable while the formal dining room seats 12 and is designed to offer impeccable white glove service. The more informal sky lounge features large picture windows bringing in an abundance of natural light and houses a high specification entertainment centre, a bar, a games table and plenty of welcoming seating areas for relaxing. Equally spacious deck areas have been designed for al fresco enjoyment, with full outdoor dining amenities for 12 guests located aft on both the main deck and bridge deck, each of which can be completely climate controlled.

The expansive sundeck will delight sun worshippers and is equipped with a Jacuzzi, sunpads, sun loungers, a large full-service bar, barbecue grill and full entertainment centre. Oval sliding glass doors enclose the bar and entertainment space to create a disco! With additional features such as a touch-and-go helipad, a full inventory of water toys and a crew recruited to deliver top notch service, LADY SARA is an exceptional luxruy charter yacht.

CHASSEUR

Luxury charter yacht CHASSEUR, built by Christensen in the US, represents the pinnacle of refined luxury. At 48.8m (160.1ft), CHASSEUR boasts a stunning contemporary interior with eye catching retro artwork/photography (featuring pieces by Terry O'Neill, Greg Lotus, Acey Harper).

Beautifully appointed accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins includes a full beam master suite with office and daybed, and a spacious VIP with Hermes Jean-Michel Frank club chair in natural shearling. Guest ensuites are decorated with exotic onyx and include underfloor heating.

Classic teak flooring is beautifully accented with holly inlays and adorned with plush silk area rugs and custom-built furniture.

CHASSEUR'S main stairwell is a sculptural work of art showcasing glass and woven leather walls with floating glass treads. Her six luxurious staterooms with ensuites will comfortably accommodate 12 guests. Each stateroom is equipped with extensive movie and music library, satellite TV, iPad interface, and fast Internet.

The outdoor living areas provide abundant opportunities for dining, entertaining and sun bathing. The sun deck features a full height bar, large Jacuzzi and lavish lounge areas. The bridge deck has two alfresco dining sections as well as a chic open-air lounge area. The main aft deck provides a lavish seating arrangement and a full service bar area. All exterior decks are fully equipped with ample room designated for a helipad and toys.

RUYA

Ruya

The 41.41m (135.86ft) luxury charter yacht, RUYA was custom built in 2016 by Alia Yachts in Turkey and her exterior design and interiors are the work of multi award-winning Sam Sorgiovanni with naval architecture by Van Oossanen.

The design brief for RUYA was for a spacious go-anywhere yacht, with a timeless design that was both practical and functional. RUYA is able to accommodate 10 guests across five cabins, with two additional Pullmans. The Master suite is located on the main deck, with two double and two twin VIP guest staterooms on the lower deck. There is also accommodation for her 10 crew.

RUYA is an exceptionally voluminous yacht, with multiple spaces for socialising and relaxation. Inside, her Australian-inspired interior makes use of indigenous material like bamboo and Australian silky oak to create an opulent yet extremely cosy family-oriented environment. This elegant tri-deck design boasts a huge 93m² sun deck with full bar and 10-person Jacuzzi.

The vessel's aft storage hatches open up to create a practical sports area with a spacious swim deck and on-water Beach Club. To add to the fun, there's an impressive toy box filled with Sea-Doos, SeaBobs, wakeboards and more to ensure a truly memorable Mediterranean charter.

SILVER WAVE

Silver wave

Sleek and sporty, the 45.72m (150ft) Palmer Johnson 150 open SILVER WAVE was built in 2009 and refitted in 2012. This luxury charter yacht's sophisticated interiors are by Nuvolari & Lenard and her exterior styling is by Palmer Johnson.

The ideal motor yacht for a family charter SILVER WAVE has a distinctive silver hull and futuristic styling, with a low profile raised pilothouse, a flybridge that features a glass atrium roof panel that slides fore and aft, a custom swim platform with a self-deploying ladder, and a hydraulically-powered tender garage.

Inside, SILVER WAVE has a spacious saloon with adjoining dining room and bar forward. She also has a separate saloon dedicated to music and films with a large Plasma screen and piano, and three dining areas, two of which seat eight people and the third seats 10.

Motor yacht SILVER WAVE offers five luxurious guest cabins for up to 10 charter guests. The master suite is accessible from the entertainment room and features a king bed, private study, his-and-her bathrooms, and a walk-in closet. In each cabin there is a Lantic entertainment system, plus a docking station for mp3/iPod devices, radio, flat-screen television, and access to movies.

On her spacious decks, SILVER WAVE boasts plenty of lounging areas in the sun and under shelter. On the top deck there is Jacuzzi and wet bar, while an array of water toys are contained with her garage.

BLISS

Bliss

From the renowned Dutch yard, Heesen, charter yacht BLISS is a spectacular 44-metre semi-displacement motor yacht characterised by her striking black aluminium hull and matte grey superstructure.

BLISS features cool and contemporary interiors by Icelandic designer Ingibjorg St. Palmadottir and can accommodate 10 guests in five well-appointed cabins. The upper saloon can be converted to be used as an extra guest cabin. She can also accommodate nine crew for the ultimate charter experience.

The elegant dining area with a circular table and stylish black leather chairs is located at the aft of the vessel, toward the main deck aft. The upper lounge features a long, mirrored bar and mirror insets between the windows providing an uninterrupted view.

The deck areas have been customised to maximise guest enjoyment. Areas which are often reserved for more technical uses or storage have been redesigned to provide a remarkable choice of sophisticated sunbathing and lounging options.

Boasting generous interior volumes and plenty of outdoor guest spaces for relaxation, BLISS features a Jacuzzi on deck, Sauna, 13-metre tender and extensive list of water toys to keep guests entertained.

For total guest comfort, BLISS is equipped with a sophisticated stabilisation system and bow thrusters for stability while cruising and at anchor.

MOKA

Moka

Five-deck, 42.8m (138ft) 460Exp explorer charter yacht MOKA was designed and built by Italian yard, Sanlorenzo specifically for long voyages.

Robust and ultra-luxurious, MOKA is designed to be your "home away from home", wherever you may choose to roam – the perfect fusion of commercial vessel with luxury motor yacht. MOKA is classified as "Green Plus" by RINA, which allows her to remain anchored in a bay for long periods of time without having to make use of generators, eliminating emissions, vibration and noise.

The interiors aboard MOKA are lavish and cosy. Beige and white are paired with red and grey accents, with beautiful timber joinery in American mahogany, oak and teak and sumptuous carpets and furnishings. Impeccable glazing brings the outside in. Aft, a large window looks out on the infinity pool with contra-jet on the main deck – a must for guests keen on fitness and health.

The gym features large windows on both sides, affording breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. Art work by Italian painter Tatiana Villani is found throughout the yacht alongside fascinating glass sculptures by Hungarian artist Peter Botos and photography by Alice Ippolito. All work in well with the yacht's colour scheme.

MOKA provides deluxe accommodation for 10 guests in four large double-bed cabins on the lower deck, where the wellness room with a second swimming pool, gym, and sauna with Turkish bath are also located, while the vast owner's suite is located on the main deck.

At anchor, the large teak deck aft becomes a superb recreational area, where guests can sunbathe, take a dip in the ocean, or swim against the current in the large infinity pool. The stern area also boasts a complete Beach Club, with bar, sauna and a dive space.

PRIDE

The 44.8m (146.98ft) custom-built luxury charter yacht PRIDE was built in 2013 by Viudes Yachts, with sophisticated exterior design and engineering by Isonaval and interiors by Aldo Cichero.

PRIDE accommodates 12 guests in six cabins: a full-beam master suite with two side balconies, a full-beam VIP, two doubles and two twins, and her décor is traditional, warm and luxurious with timber paneling and sumptuous furnishings.

For the complete comfort and relaxation of her charter guests, PRIDE has exceptionally large exterior spaces and a great balance between formal and informal areas.

On her sun deck, guests will enjoy the massive sun pad island, while at water level, there's an extended swim platform with umbrella and lounges for hours of tranquil repose.

As well as a fully-equipped gym, PRIDE has an impressive arsenal of watertoys onboard for on-water fun for all ages.

NYOTA

Nyoto

The 36.8m (120.73ft) Couach 3700 FLY motor yacht motor yacht 'Nyota' was built by Couach, France in 2008 and was most recently refitted in 2017.

NYOTA offers accommodation for up to eight guests in four staterooms: one master, one VIP, one double cabin and one twin cabin.

SOPRANO

Soprano

The 38.25m (125.49ft) SOPRANO is a luxury charter motor yacht built by Hakvoort and launched in 2017, with interior design by Felix Buytendijk and an exterior design by Diana Yacht Design.

Described as a modern gentleman's yacht, SOPRANO combines the finest traditional styling with the latest luxury features. SOPRANO'S hull is painted in a warm beige called 'Moondust', and her aluminium over steel construction ensures her capabilities for safe long-distance cruising.

Fitted with innovative amenities and options throughout, SOPRANO offers four staterooms for up to 10 guests.

One of her key features is the fold-out platform amidships, providing easy access to the water for boarding and swimming. SOPRANO's sun deck offers massive open space for sunbathing, a large Jacuzzi, barbecue and bar. On the main deck is the full beam master suite while the VIP stateroom and two twin staterooms are located on the lower deck.

Aft of the bridge deck is a second comfortable saloon, while on the large aft deck is a table for alfresco dining and entertaining.

ELINOR

The 37.44m (122.83ft) SD122 charter yacht ELINOR was designed by Francesco Paszkowski, built in 2009 by Italian yard, Sanlorenzo and refitted in 2017 to the pinnacle of chic contemporary luxury.

The refit comprised revamped interiors, upgraded electronics and brand-new entertainment systems throughout. Interiors are characterised by modern furniture and finishes: stainless steel, velvet, marble and a palette of black and white, complemented by muted, yet textural tones of grey and mauve.

Luxury charter yacht ELINOR comfortably accommodates 10 guests in five spacious cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite, double and two twin cabins, each with ensuite and its own AV/entertainment centres.
