Luxury Mega Yacht SUNRAYS
Luxury charter mega yacht SUNRAYS (85.47m, 280ft) is from Oceanco. She is notable for her curved teal coloured hull, and was designed by the masterful Bjorn Johansson Design with naval architecture from Azure Naval Architects and interiors by the renowned Terence Disdale.
Said to have cost US$100 million, SUNRAYS is owned by Indian billionaire Ravi Ruia, vice chairman of the conglomerate the Essar Group, with interests in steel, shipping and oil refining, which he established with his brother Shashi. The brothers are renowned anglers and have decked out SUNRAYS so that watersports lovers can take full advantage of their charter vacation.
In the year of her launch, SUNRAYS won the ISS Design and Leadership Award for Best Power Yacht in the 65m+ category. Among the most compelling features of SUNRAYS are the soothing water features on each of her four decks, which perfectly complement this exceptional motor yacht's curved superstructure.
With accommodation for up to 16 guests in eight staterooms, SUNRAY'S master suite is located on the upper deck with its own private balcony, while a VIP cabin and study lies behind. Both rooms have foldable sea balconies and can also be connected with the Master suite, thus serving as one living area. Aft of the sleeping accommodation is a full beam lounge. The yacht's main deck hosts the guest VIP suites and stateroom suites, which connect to each other.
The main saloon provides guests with an awe-inspiring contemporary interior for socialising and relaxation: Pale timber paneling offsets floor-to-ceiling windows for beautifully illuminated spaces, while the formal dining area is ideal for a special occasion.
A supremely versatile charter yacht, SUNRAYS is designed to be multi-functional, with built-in table tops hidden in the ceiling making her flexible for various occasions. The bridge deck offers a spa and lounge area that converts into a cinema. The large dining room can be converted into a video conference room with the optional use of the adjacent library. The standard foldable exterior bulwark assures guests an unrestricted view while dinner is served.
For tranquil alfresco living and entertaining, SUNRAYS' magnificent sundeck features a semi-enclosed air-conditioned bar, a Jacuzzi, sunpads and lounges.
Other fantastic attributes include the option for a party platform on the heli-deck, fully-equipped gym with top of the line Technogym equipment, dining table that converts into a pool table, spa with steam room and two therapists and an extensive array of water toys, including a 14.9m Blackbird chase boat, 10m Wahoo RIB, 11m Stancraft Mahogany Runner and 5m Polaris Rescue Boat, four Waverunners, three wakeboards, Jet Surf GP100, Schiller water bike, kayaks and inflatables, dive equipment and fishing gear.
