German builder, Lürssen also confirmed that she is the largest by gross tonnage, with a total interior volume of 15,917 gross tonnes.
DILBAR was the worthy winner of the 2017 World Superyacht Award for Motor Yacht of the Year. The judges praised DILBAR for being "arguably the most complex and challenging yacht ever to be built, and the largest ever built in terms of gross tonnage".
All aspects of her design and construction were quite superb. The quality of construction of her interior, which uses rare materials and striking surface finishes in abundance, is truly spectacular, as is the indoor swimming pool with a capacity of 180 cubic metres, the largest ever installed on a yacht.
DILBAR claims another record-breaking feature: a 30,000kw diesel electric power plant, thought to be a record for a superyacht, giving her a top speed of 22.5 knots.
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov is reportedly the owner who ordered the custom build, and named the vessel after his beloved mother. He also owns the 110-metre Lürssen superyacht DILBAR, which was renamed ONA.
Industry speculation states that DILBAR could host at least 40 guests and a crew of 80, with an estimated build cost of around US$600 million. Iconic designer, Espen Oeino was responsible for DILBAR'S design, while UK firm, Andrew Winch Designs created her interiors.
With a beam of 24-metres (79ft) and a deep draft of 6-metres (20ft), DILBAR boasts a combined 3,800 square metres of living space onboard.
