2024 Antigua Charter Yacht Show Review: the Exceptional Yachts

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show has long been synonymous with refined luxury and exceptional hospitality, and this edition was no exception. Set against Antigua’s storied maritime heritage, the event presented a selection of world-class vessels, each ready to dazzle with exquisite design and onboard amenities.

Beyond the hardware, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show placed a spotlight on the professional Captains, talented chefs and attentive crew who transform a yacht charter into an unrivalled and unforgettable vacation.

This year’s line-up showcased some of the world’s finest yachts, each boasting a unique personality, style, and story, including several noteworthy examples:

AELOUS 77

AEOLUS 77 is a 2024 Lagoon Seventy7 catamaran earned admiration for its emphasis on guest comfort and versatile entertainment spaces. The expansive saloon provides wraparound views, while the flybridge offers additional dining and lounging areas. Accommodating up to eight guests, AEOLUS 77 includes a unique master suite with a balcony and three spacious cabins, each with an ensuite.

The deck boasts a massive foredeck with lounge areas and a large trampoline, and an aft stern platform ideal for sunbathing and water activities perfect for the sunny climes of the British and US Virgin Islands.

ASAHI

ASAHI is a luxurious 184ft (56m) Perini Navi sailing superyacht ideal for up to 12 guests. Designed by Ron Holland, this elegant ketch is a one-of-a-kind charter yacht, with a vast cockpit with lounge and dining sections, as well as plenty of deck space for sunbathing, relaxing and entertaining. The spacious sundeck comprises sunpads, lounges, undercover dining space, bar and jacuzzi.

With six well-appointed cabins including a full-beam master suite, an ultra modern interior with a state-of-the-art entertainment system and a talented crew of 10 ASAHI provides exceptional charters sailing the Caribbean in the winter and the Western Mediterranean in the summer. 

DOUBLE HAPPINESS

DOUBLE HAPPINESS, a stunning 2024 Sunreef 60 Eco Power, seamlessly combines luxury and eco-conscious innovation for an extraordinary charter experience. With four elegant double cabins accommodating up to eight guests, expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, and panoramic views from the salon, DOUBLE HAPPINESS provides a tranquil escape.

Her eco-friendly technology ensures zero emissions, noise, and vibrations, enhancing your connection to the sea. Outdoor highlights include a serene bow terrace, a flybridge with modular seating and a BBQ, and a hydraulic platform for easy water access. A variety of water toys and electric bikes add to the fun, while a professional crew of three guarantees impeccable service for her guests exploring the British Virgin Islands from November to January and the Bahamas from February to April. 

S7

The 129ft (39.3m) award-winning S7 is an extraordinary expedition yacht, boasting Dutch engineering, impressive volume and a contemporary beach house-style ambience. After undergoing an extensive refit in 2023, S7 has contemporary and chic interiors in a soothing monochrome palette. All five cabins which sleep up to 10 guests in three doubles and two twin cabins are characterised by similar minimalist styling.

With her rugged explorer profile, S7 was designed with charter guest comfort in mind. Her deck spaces include an elongated main aft deck perfect for enjoying the sun, launching toys and exercising. The massive sundeck features a central bar with panoramic views and a retractable roof, as well as large sunpads perfect for soaking up the sun as she cruises the Caribbean and the Bahamas in the winter and the South of France and Italy in the summer. 

AKULA

A sleek 171ft (52.32m) Baglietto superyacht with a distinctive dark grey hull, AKULA was launched in 2024 and accommodates up to 12 charter guests in five luxurious staterooms. The award-winning AKULA boasts several unique features, including a multi-level beach club, main deck retractable pool, spacious sun deck, Jacuzzi and several areas for guests to relax and entertain.

This one-of-a-kind charter yacht also offers a foredeck entertaining area with sunpads and seating. The sky lounge on the bridge deck provides a breathtaking panoramic view and can be transformed into an open-air dining experience with sliding doors that open on all three sides. AKULA is a vessel for charter guests who dare to dream bigger as they explore the Caribbean in the winter and the Western Mediterranean, based in the south of France, for the summer. 

TRIUMPH

TRIUMPH is an impressive 214ft (65.4m) Benetti superyacht with the full array of luxurious leisure amenities over her six decks, including a helipad, cinema, sauna, fully-equipped gym, massage room, jacuzzi and massive beach club with a drop-down platform. 

On deck, TRIUMPH offers guests several options for relaxing, including a large foredeck with retractable sunshade, sunlounges, sunpads and lounge area with table and seating, while the bridge deck comprises an alfresco casual dining, bar and lounge area and flows into the spacious gym, and the sun deck boasts a jacuzzi, comfortable seating and a table, with umbrellas for shade.

TRIUMPH has equally lavish accommodation for up to 12 charter guests including a ‘master apartment’ on the main deck, set over a sprawling 130-square-metres with huge ensuite with sauna, walk-in robe, office and wrap around windows for panoramic views. To ensure guests enjoy 5-star service during their charter, TRIUMPH has 16 professional crew who are renowned for their skills and local knowledge. She will be available in the Bahamas and Caribbean until March / April 2025 before returning to the Mediterranean for the summer. 

KENSHŌ

KENSHŌ, a 75.18m (246’8”) Admiral superyacht launched in 2022, is a stunning blend of innovative design and unparalleled luxury. Accommodating up to 12 guests in eight exquisitely designed staterooms, including a master suite inspired by Asian craftsmanship, KENSHŌ offers serene interiors curated by Jouin Manku. With warm woods, Asian-inspired detailing, and floor-to-ceiling windows, every space is bathed in natural light and designed to connect seamlessly with the surrounding ocean.

Her exterior living spaces span four decks, featuring a 6m glass-fronted pool, a forward Jacuzzi, and an expansive sun deck with a unique skylight. Guests can enjoy a state-of-the-art gym, multiple alfresco dining areas, and an extensive selection of water toys. Combining bold innovation with refined elegance, she offers an extraordinary charter experience. KENSHŌ will travel to Costa Rica, Panama and onto the Galapagos Islands in the new year; then via Mexico to Alaska in June with a crossing to Japan planned in July. What an adventure!
