The 2017 edition of the Antigua Charter Show, the industry only event that showcases the region’s prime luxury charter yachts, will be held 5 to 9 December at Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina in the Caribbean.
Among the brilliant array of luxury charter yachts, power and sail, mono, multihull and mega yachts on show this year – 75 in total – will be some of the most popular and latest additions to the international luxury charter fleet.
Antigua is one of the two major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Ringed with coral reefs, the island is known for its many sandy beaches. Set along English Harbour is the restored Nelson's Dockyard, where Admiral Horatio Nelson made his base in the 1780s, which now includes a marina and the Dockyard Museum.
On December 9, a selection of yachts will cruise the azure waters around Antigua for select brokers to experience their offerings, while yachts on the marina will be open for viewings.
The team at LGC are looking forward to the Chef's competition held during the show, this year with the theme: Caribbean Sunday 'funday' Brunch. Chefs will create a Caribbean Sunday Brunch to serve to charter guests with a menu suitable for adults and children showcasing their skills and diversity.
This is a great opportunity for us to see the Chefs in action and understand their different strengths and specialties.
We make a point of going onboard each and every yacht during an event like the Antigua Charter Show to meet Captains and crew and savour their hospitality onboard, experience first-hand the ambience and amenities unique to each charter yacht, so we can convey their characteristics to our clients with our assurance they will suit guests' needs.
Here are just a few of the luxury charter yachts, power and sail, mono and multihull, that we are planning to inspect.
