Ionian: The more tranquil and verdant Ionian coastline and islands are appreciated by those who wish for easier and more leisurely sailing in more predictable winds with a mix of traditional harbours and beautiful beaches.

Dodecanese: Abounding with Greek history and traditions, ancient archaeological sites and Medieval monuments plus a myriad of beaches these islands run down the ever-visible coastline of Turkey. They too are sometimes prone to stronger winds.

Saronic Gulf, Argolic and Peloponnese: This area has well protected anchorages and short, easy sailing distances. While close to bustling Athens one feels a lifetime away: picturesque islands & coast with peaceful, pretty seaside towns and villages, pine-clad interiors and beautiful bays.

Sporades: Largely off the beaten track these islands off the north-eastern Greek coastline have a great natural beauty with wonderful beaches, lush green vegetation, rocky landscapes and a pure blue shimmering sea.

Greece Climate

Greece invites you back time and time again, for new charter experiences, in a climate suitable for charter for 7-months of the year from April to – October. July/August is mid-summer often with temps in the high 30’s and this corresponds with peak European holiday times, when not only are the marinas more crowded, but the most popular charter yachts are booked a year in advance. Some local areas have seasonal winds which are best avoided eg Cyclades the Meltemi winds can be extremly strong in July/ August.
